Have I mentioned what a wonderful experience having him at home was?  It was tremendous.  He was born in a birthing tub, and it was so peaceful - he arrived to Bach's Unaccompanied Cello Suites.  Hard labor lasted less than 2 hours, and the stress on my body seems to have been much less, even though I birthed a baby 1.5 lbs heavier than Tommy.  In fact, I didn't ever feel like I needed drugs or anything.  Of course the contractions weren't fun and games, but they definitely did not hurt - just required a lot of concentration.
