Just been down the local pub. It was packed, as today was the day when most restrictions were lifted for everyone in Sydney. Oh, when I say 'everyone', I mean all those who have had both vaccines. All the local bars, cafes, restaurants...all doing a great trade. Fantastic we can all get out and enjoy life again. Oh, when I say 'everyone'...

But anyway, I'll leave you alone now.

So nice of them to let you guys out for the day!

Reading that is surreal to a person living in Texas. I cannot even fathom that mentality.

Are you suggesting we should follow Texas's example? I mean...

COVID-19 deaths per 1 million people:

Texas: 2,349
Australia: 56

Population figures for Texas and Australia are roughly the same. And as an Australian, looking at pita's figures above, I'm having difficulty coming to terms with an attitude that has lead to well over 65,000 deaths compared to just over 1400. I guess our priorities are different.

Nobody enjoyed the lockdowns. Nobody liked the fact that we couldn't have people around for drinks and a meal. Everyone was frustrated with travel plans being cancelled. But we were all in this together. We were all (with a very few exceptions) looking out for each other. There was a sense that each of us had to sacrifice a little for the benefit of all. For all of our friends and neighbours. Fo our local community. For our city. For our state. For the whole country in fact. We were all in this together and there's a sense that we've come through this together.

Regarding the consequences of covid? Yeah, a lot better than most.

And in passing, you need to edit the quote function above.

Like God didn’t make good enough job when He created us? It’s beyond arrogant.

God only made my eyesight 20/400. Science makes it 20/20.

And people like BG wants to condition us to think we were made so weak and poorly that we need people like him to make us feel safe and healthy by some sort of jabs. Come on.

700,000 people have died because their immune systems were inadequate.

No, regarding feeling camaraderie with your fellow citizens.

Aren't we all in this together? Why is there a sense of that camaraderie where I live and not where you live? I'm bemused by those who claim that personal freedom trumps a common concern for the welfare of others. To the point that some fairly nonsensical arguments regarding the efficacy of covid treatment are put forward in an attempt to bolster the position taken.

I'll be honest with you. It comes across in exactly the same way as some children act when they are told to do something that's for their own benefit. 'You're not the boss of me!' is the usual cry and logic for their position leaves by the nearest exit.

Except that the consequences are a little more than a schoolyard skinned knee or a bruised ego. Hundreds of thousands die. And just the same as the kid who won't take responsibility for his actions and looks for someone else to blame for those consequences, so we have vast numbers pointing fingers in all directions saying 'It wasn't me, sir. Sir, it wasn't me. They did it. It was their fault!'

As a believer in Jesus Christ and as an American I have problems with "We're all in this together", especially when proffered by fallen human governments who like to gather and luxuriate, then complain about overpopulation and obsess over forcing an experimental substance on the masses. I remember the spirit of Poor Richard's quip "He’s a fool who makes his Doctor his heir".

Those of us with views running counter to portions of the Covid narrative have spent lives of (mostly) obedience to civil government, accepting basic science. We aren’t abject rebels. Something seems very "off" to us and that can’t be wished away by public shaming.

Well, you've been bombarded by science, logic, overwhelming evidence, testimony from the leading medical experts in every single country on the planet and the deaths of millions and you have a feeling that something is 'off'.

Lucky that the vast majority of us have done the hard yards for you and others like you. You can start to think about returning to normal some time soon. There's light at the end of the tunnel.

So say a prayer for all those who didn't make it and another for all those who made some personal sacrifices to ensure that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. God knows it's been bad enough.

No offense, but I had Covid before vaccines were available to me. 104 temp, loss of taste/smell and a positive PCR. 2 weeks to clear it. Fortunately the steroids and azyth worked. So far my acquired immunity has held firm.

I did the "hard yards" too, I guess, by working throughout the pandemic while mega millions stayed home. Couriers were "essential" it seemed. We didn't mind it, even though now those same people sitting it out are big into shaming us if unvaxxed. That's no way to treat an nice essential worker, lol!

You are inflicting your personal choice on us, why is that any different? Our souls are in tact.

I watched day star Christian tv last night.
They had authorities on the truth of covid vaccines. It was scary.
Mostly they spoke on one that has been banned in other countries. We are the only country that uses it. Some have had to hire attorneys to prevent the use of it on their love ones. I can't remember the name, I believe it started with an r. They said that it damages lungs but the powers that be say that they died from the damage to the lungs from covid,. They did say that it is useful in the very beginning of the desease. But hosp. Use it throughout.
But they say the truth is it is the r med that causes the lung damage. They also said that the meds that the Pres. was pushing does work.
They are pushing abook these specialists contributed to. If any are interested I am sure it comes up daily. . It was a scary show because of some of the things they were saying about how we are being deceived.
It's strange to me how you can say SOOOO much but have 0 specifics:
1) Which program?
2) which authorities? Why do we believe them and not other authorities?
3) Why are those people considered to be telling "the truth"?
4) which "one" are you talking about
5) What countries was it banned from?
I mean, it's just constant stream of me wanting to know more.
