We have around us many people whose lives tell us what faith means.
So let us run the race that is before us and never give up.
We should remove from our lives anything that would get in the way
and the sin that so easily holds us back
    .”
    Hebrews 12:1

    Perseverance is more than endurance.
It is endurance combined w/absolute assurance and certainty
that what we are looking for is going to happen.

How wunnerfully blessed that He grants us the strength and endurance needed to run His race.......just as it is written in Isaiah, He gives us wings as eagles.....thank you for this His own, "soar" and do not grow weary, on this very fall-like and chilly and overcast Friday late morning in September. God bless you.

Thank you, brinny, for your wonderful responses. For me,
it's a good day when I get your responses.
As to my predicted weather, it will be a full sun with a high of
100 degrees. But I come from Illinois where the fall of the year brought a beautiful change in the color of the leaves:
red, yellow, brown. I miss that!

Wow, 100 degrees! Does it stay like that year round? I love the fall too......I find the leaves and every thing else about delightful. :)

Here in southern Arizona they have an interesting way of
    describing our hot weather.
    The saying is..."But it's a dry heat"!
And that is generally true because humidity does add to the "discomfort" of any temperature. However, when the humidity stays low it neutralizes the conditions experienced
during the hotter months. I hope that makes sense to you.

Yes, it makes perfect sense. What we say here and what I've said myself, is that "it's not the heat, it's the humidity"..... THAT'S what makes ya' feel like a wet dish rag haha

When we eat our food, we gain strength, including strength to endure.

So if we need to run the spiritual race, we find we need spiritual endurance.

It is obvious that we need to eat spiritual food which God the Father give us, that is, the bread of life.

When we eat this bread of life, we shall gain the strength to endure the race before us.
