Persecution of the Jews

Many people forget or chose not to think about it, the Jew's are God's chosen people. In the last 5000 years the Egyptians, Philistines, Assyrians, Babylonian's, Persian's, Greeks, Romans, Catholic and Protestant Christians, Nazi's, all tried to eliminate the race, all but two were destroyed. Catholic and Protestant Christians are all the remains and the church is not now the powerhouse it was in the past. But the point is they are god's chosen people. Has any other race faced the level of persecution as Jews. And I do not think most Christian's today think about that. Gives you something to think about

Seems to me that the House of Israel, aka the northern-10-tribes, aka 10-lost-tribes, are being wished-away by those who don't remember Solomon's divided kingdom still exists... but call all 12 after the tribe of Judah, aka Jews.

It would make more sense if they'd just call them "Jacob"... since grafted-in-theology has lifted the name "Israel", by changing it's definition.

Well, there are Jews who are not God's children, if they have not trusted in Jesus. But we have a number of Jews who have trusted in Jesus. Ones might gain the world, but Jesus warns us that we could lose our souls even while gaining the world. Jesus warned this to Jewish listeners, didn't He?

Catholic and Protestant Christians are all the remains and the church is not now the powerhouse it was in the past.

My take is that there have been politically Catholic and politically Protestant people who have not functioned as Jesus Christ's people; and so they have been capable of various atrocities.

Has any other race faced the level of persecution as Jews.

Another realm of atrocity has been how ones have raided and taken the lands of American Indians, killing even Native American mothers and children in order to conquer them. This has been genocidal to some extent, though not all were annihilated.

And in Africa there have been ethnic wars in which one group has tried to wipe out another group. And I think that is what was going on in the Bosnia-Serbia problem, or something like that. Rwandans suffered something like that.

But God's word guarantees how the LORD will take care of the Jews who obey Him, and His word guarantees how horrible things will come on ones because of disobedience and they will be put out of their land . . . but woe to those who have conducted such evil activities against the Jews, even Jews who have rejected Jesus! After all, even the enemies of their own Messiah are "beloved" >

Years ago, I did some research on the black-haired blue-eyed people in Britain and read that the Circassians had this trait. More recently, I've read that the Georgian and Basque languages are similar, making sense of the two Iberias.

So the Revelation isn't using Paul's dictionary.
