Isn't socialism along the line of communism? To me they r all the same, BAD, and they're not supposed to be here.

Socialism is very much alive in this country, and unfortunately growing!

From what I've seen, everything is changing....

Actually no. They are very different, at least if we are talking classic Socialism.

In fact classic socialism might well be favored by most in America, and even more surely part of what it claims to do is favored by the vast majority of Americans. (Claims and does are different things).

Classic Socialism is just that the government controls Heavy Industry. That is it. The Government does the things that are huge. Things like water and power, building bridges and Roads. What would get added in is things like car manufacturing.

There is NOTHING about free medical care or welfare in classic socialism. And there is nothing opposed to capitalism for the rest of the economy.

Does it work as claimed? Not as I see it. The same problems as here just magnified and government inefficiency added to Heavy industry. And surprise, ever extending what is heavy industry. And as I see little way to avoid those problems in practice I'm not a proponent of Socialism.

Why would u think otherwise?? U can see the state of , political/economic, etc, mentality that other countries r in who r living with this kind of structure in place. R they thriving as a nation? Barely. Especially the countries that have communism as the rule!

I know a lot more societies r more socialistic, and that they r fairing much better than the communistic societies, but who would want this transformation? Our country is one of the best places in the world that many people want to come and habitate. Why, if it is so bad?

God has blessed our country with so much, why would we want to break it down?

The decrease in manufacturing has nothing to do with socialism. In fact, the cause is absolutely the opposite.

US industries are moving manufacturing to countries where labor has no ability to organize for higher wages and better working conditions.

That's pure capitalism at work, baby.

I don't think you actually know that much about other countries, nor about communism or socialism. Someone told you they were bad and you seem to be parroting them. Our country is really good in some ways, but very bad in others. Many other countries do certain things much better than us in fact. Nearly all western countries do healthcare better than us. Fixing the things that need fixing won't destroy the country. It's not all or nothing.

The fact that they're willing to repeat information from the Russian successor to the KGB without vetting from another original source or even qualification of the reliability of the sole source is ample reason to discount them.

In fact, I'd tend to believe that if this story actually was released by the GRU, it's purely intended as disinformation for the gullible, because--no more than the CIA--the GRU would not release information that confirmed their information sources, analytical methods, and decryption capabilities...especially not on bedroom gossip.

It's the "EU TIMES", again, a white suprematist rag published somewhere way too deep in the Florida swamps that loves to entertain a fantasy of access to highly hush-hush "Kremlin" insider info.

Perhaps political definitions don't have much meaning to me, but I do know whether a system works or not...having lived in other countries; I can analyze things!!

Ok, I assume u lived in military housing, and on base and were really not exposed to societal standards? Living on base in another country is not the same thing as living in another country, in their society. U were not living and working under their jurisdiction and ways of living.

Even though u were probably working under the harshest conditions, and I respect u for that, it can not be compared to living under their rule and doing things their way.
