True, we haven't beaten all our swords into plowshares. It's Trump's fault we don't have heaven on earth yet, I guess.
Well, weren't you trying to say that it was because of Donald that we have peace and prosperity? We don't have peace, so now you're trying to say that I'm blaming poor Donald for that? So, it would seem that anything good that might happen, poor Donald is responsible for, bur anything less than stellar, it must be his enemies at work? How convenient.

If a tree falls in the woods...Is it a racial slur if there's no race there? :D Anyway, I wish the left still limited itself to just name-calling. Those were the good old days.

I guess this is what passes for sophisticated conservative political discourse these days.

You know very well I was talking about the reduced risk of nuclear war with North Korea. As for the rest, you know Obama was killing people over there by remote control for years, right?

True, we haven't beaten all our swords into plowshares. It's Trump's fault we don't have heaven on earth yet, I guess.

For the record:
The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
...
And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.

For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever

How would I have known that from your words, since that's that's not the actual meaning of "peace"?

As for the rest, you know Obama was killing people over there by remote control for years, right?
Yeah, and? Tangent much?

Yet Trump is standing up for Israel. And he's being called a Nazi, and the attendees at his rallies are being called Nazi's? The ones who exterminated the Jewish people?
Unfortunately, both are true. White supremecists love Donald. Like those guys carrying torches and chanting “Jews will not replace us.”

Meanwhile, the biggest antisemites with actual power in the world today, like Jeremy Corbin on the cusp of power in Great Britain, or the various leaders of black liberation in America, are all on the left.
Civilisationist parties on the right tend to become less antisemite, such as daughter Le Penn kicking her antsemite father out of his party as the movement became more mainstream.
No such control against antisemite excesses exists on the left.

Oddly enough this white supremacist group is called Unite the Right by its own members. I happen to believe with so many other people that Donald Trump has normalized racism in the United States. We should probably brace to hear more "Hail Trump!" coming from his white supremacist supporters.

First Artcle Excerpt from: ‘Jews will not replace us’: Why white supremacists go after Jews

When white nationalists descended upon the historic Virginia city to protest the removal of a statue of Confederate general Robert E. Lee, their “Unite the Right” rally gathered a veritable who’s who of top neo-Nazis in the United States, including Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke and alt-right leading light Richard Spencer, among others.

They immediately went after the Jews. At their Friday night rally at the University of Virginia, the white nationalists brandished torches and chanted anti-Semitic and Nazi slogans, including “blood and soil” (an English rendering of the Nazi “blut und boden”) and “Jews will not replace us” — all crafted to cast Jews as foreign interlopers who need to be expunged. The attendees proudly displayed giant swastikas and wore shirts emblazoned with quotes from Adolf Hitler. One banner read, “Jews are Satan’s children.”

Second Article Excerpt from: ‘Jews will not replace us’: Why white supremacists go after Jews

None of this should surprise us. The United States’ white nationalists have made no secret of their special hate for Jews, particularly during the 2016 campaign and its aftermath.

Inspired by Donald Trump, Duke himself ran for Senate in Louisiana, spending much of his time on the primary debate stage ranting against the Jews. When Melania Trump was found to have plagiarized Michelle Obama in her Republican National Convention address, Duke declared he’d “bet a gefilte fish” that it was Jewish sabotage.

The fascinating thing about these alt-right groups, and you complaining that Trump "normalized racism"... is that if you actually look at the evidence, these groups grew more under Obama, than Trump.

Why are you blaming Trump for something that largely happened under Obama?

Take the National Policy Institute, which your links refer too. That group grew the most during Obama's first term.

And as far as them saying hail trump.... Um... so what?

I can say "hail Obama", and that doesn't mean he supports my views. In fact many conservatives were duped into thinking Obama supported their views, and then regretted voting for him.

A lot of people claim Trump is racists. But I still haven't seen any evidence of that.

If you're surprised that the first black president would result in them emerging from the sewers, then we've located the problem.

Why are you blaming Trump for something that largely happened under Obama?

Mostly, I suppose, because Obama opposed them and Trump encourages them. Such "good people", he says.

And as far as them saying hail trump.... Um... so what?

Birds of a feather, maybe?

I can say "hail Obama", and that doesn't mean he supports my views.

According to the white supremacists, that's why they say "hail Trump."

In fact many conservatives were duped into thinking Obama supported their views, and then regretted voting for him.

Odd, considering more conservative republicans ran against him. I guess his rather effective program of taking out Islamic terrorists and his increased deportation of illegal aliens (granted, they were mostly those convicted of serious crimes, rather than otherwise law-abiding people) had something to do with it.

A lot of people claim Trump is racists.

He was forced to sign an expensive consent decree because he systematically tried to keep blacks out of his apartment houses. He insisted that a judge couldn't be fair "because he's a Mexican" (he wasn't). He limited the jobs black workers could have in his casino.

Trump insisted he wanted fewer immigrants from Africa and more from countries like Norway.

So yeah, racist.

(CNN)A new Quinnipiac University poll has a striking result: 49% of people said they believe President Donald Trump to be a racist while 47% believe he is not.

Pause and digest that: Half the country -- HALF -- thinks the elected President of the United States harbors racist views. That's a remarkable finding. Full stop.

But I still haven't seen any evidence of that.

Looks like a lot of Americans have.

Looks like a lot of Americans have.

If you're surprised that the first black president would result in them emerging from the sewers, then we've located the problem.

Then why do people keep saying "Trump did it"? What you just said, indicates Obama did it.

And by the way, I agree with you. Obama flaunted the race card all the time. Obama pitted Americans against Americans, throughout his entire presidency. So I agree with you!

I suppose, because Obama opposed them and Trump encourages them.

Give me an example of how Trump encourages them. Specific example please.
Yeah, Obama directly opposed them, which is exactly why they grew. Attacking groups, results in everyone thinking "They were right! We are being attacked!". You end up feeding them. That's exactly why those groups grew under Obama.

According to the white supremacists, that's why they say "hail Trump."

Hail Obama! I guess Obama is now a traditional conservative.... at least from the bonkers logic posted here.

He was forced to sign an expensive consent decree because he systematically tried to keep blacks out of his apartment houses.

I didn't ask you what he did in the 1970s. In fact, we don't even have any evidence he did anything. We know some specific location, NOT ALL LOCATIONS... were engaged in some illegal discrimination, that ENDED. We don't even know that Trump himself pushed those policies. Do you know for a fact he said "don't rent to blacks" at these locations?

I didn't ask you what he did in the 1970s. I asked you what policies he has pushed TODAY.... IN OFFICE... that is evidence of this 'racism' you claim.

He insisted that a judge couldn't be fair "because he's a Mexican" (he wasn't).

Yeah, I agree that statement is terrible. I still don't think that proves he's a racists. I think he was saying that the judge's background would influence their opinion, and wouldn't be impartial. I disagree with Trump. But I don't think it was racism, and he certainly hasn't put in place any racist policies that I am aware of.

Trump insisted he wanted fewer immigrants from Africa and more from countries like Norway.

Post the exact quote of what he said.

I know he referred to Haiti as a garbage country, and it is. Why do you think so many want to leave there, and come here, if Haiti is a Utopia?

I also know that he said we should take more from Norway. Again, I would expect that. They likely have more education, more skills, and will be a much larger benefit to the country.

Again, a Merit Based immigration policy is wise. But it's not racist.

Provide the exact quote where race was the defining factor. Haiti is not a race. Haitians are not all black.

(CNN)A new Quinnipiac University poll has a striking result: 49% of people said they believe President Donald Trump to be a racist while 47% believe he is not.

Sorry, but I am not going to judge someone, based on the popular opinion of people. I have been accused of racism myself throughout all my life, and there is not a racist bone in my body.

In fact, it is exactly because that half of the country is so quick to judge people, and call them racists when they are not, that is exactly why Trump won. Literally, it's the people on that poll that accuse everyone that holds a different opinion, of being racists, that got Trump the White House.

Back in 2014, I remember thinking that if these people continued to call everyone racists, that something crazy was going to happen. That was before even knew Trump was a possibility. But I saw it coming. Every time they accused him, his polls went up. That is what happens when you attack everyone as being racists until they don't care anymore. You end up with Trump or someone like Trump. And by the way, if you keep that up, you'll end up with someone worse after Trump.

Yes, those uppity black people, getting elected to public office. No wonder Nazis are upset.

And by the way, I agree with you. Obama flaunted the race card all the time.

Each election, republicans seemed infuriated that he was playing down the racial angle. They kept trying to make it about race, and he kept them from doing so.

Obama pitted Americans against Americans, throughout his entire presidency.

Apprently, you seem to think that by being elected president, Obama was responsible for the racists becoming unhinged. That's what David Duke was assailing him for that.

Do you honestly think he shouldn't have run for president, to avoid angering racists?

Barbarian, regarding why people think Trump panders to racists:
I suppose, because Obama opposed them and Trump encourages them.

Give me an example of how Trump encourages them.

The Nazis, and white supremacists at Charlottesville, for example. Trump said that some of them were very good people. It hardly needs to be said that those are never very good people.

Yeah, Obama directly opposed them

Black guy opposes Nazis and white surpemacists. Go figure.

Barbarian notes that racists recognize Trump as one of their own:
According to the white supremacists, that's why they say "hail Trump!"

Hail Obama! I guess Obama is now a traditional conservative....

I think you're starting to get a little overwrought here.

Barbarian observe Trump has a long history of racism:
He was forced to sign an expensive consent decree because he systematically tried to keep blacks out of his apartment houses. It's not just a recent thing.

I didn't ask you what he did in the 1970s. In fact, we don't even have any evidence he did anything. We know some specific location, NOT ALL LOCATIONS...

He wanted to have "whites only" and "blacks only" apartment buildings. It made sense to him, because he's a racist.

were engaged in some illegal discrimination, that ENDED.

After the government stepped in and forced him to obey the law.

We don't even know that Trump himself pushed those policies.

He vigorously defended them.

Do you know for a fact he said "don't rent to blacks" at these locations?

Yep. He even put a box on the paperwork so his people could put the race of the person therein, so that no one would escape his apartheid scheme.

Barbarian continues:
He insisted that a judge couldn't be fair "because he's a Mexican" (he wasn't)

Yeah, I agree that statement is terrible.

Sure. It's what racists do.

(CNN)A new Quinnipiac University poll has a striking result: 49% of people said they believe President Donald Trump to be a racist while 47% believe he is not.

Sorry, but I am not going to judge someone, based on the popular opinion of people.

Just pointing out the fact. Most people realize that he's a racist.

I have been accused of racism myself throughout all my life, and there is not a racist bone in my body.

I don't know of anyone, of any color, who grew up in America, who could honestly say that.

For starters, we used to care enough not to elect a clown to lead our country. That seems to have gone out the window. Another thing we used to care about, at least for a little while, was each other. Those days are over.

Ehhh...I care about you Golden.

These other guys....not so much. :-*

If you're surprised that the first black president would result in them emerging from the sewers, then we've located the problem.

I think the left shifting to a "blame whites" narrative was probably a bigger cause.

Mostly, I suppose, because Obama opposed them and Trump encourages them. Such "good people", he says.

He said there were good people on both sides....so if he "encouraged" them, then he also encouraged those who hate them.

Birds of a feather, maybe?

Maybe? I thought the left considers all whites racist...so it's hard to see why this matters.

According to the white supremacists, that's why they say "hail Trump."

White supremacists say lots of stupid things. Odd you would take them seriously now.

He was forced to sign an expensive consent decree because he systematically tried to keep blacks out of his apartment houses.

Link? Can't say I heard that one.

He insisted that a judge couldn't be fair "because he's a Mexican" (he wasn't). He limited the jobs black workers could have in his casino.

Those are pretty racist.

Trump insisted he wanted fewer immigrants from Africa and more from countries like Norway.

So yeah, racist.

The whole thing about the "crappy" nations doesn't strike me as racist.

Full stop.

What's remarkable about it?

The left has increasingly adopted a "all whites are racist" narrative.

It would surprise me more if they didn't think he's racist (and sexist)....he is, after all, the worst kind of human.

He's a straight white man.

I think the left shifting to a "blame whites" narrative was probably a bigger cause.

Fairy tales probably weren't that big a thing. But since the conservatives who rioted in Charlottesville were chanting at Jews and blacks "You won't replace us", it appears that a lot of them were into fairy tales.

He said there were good people on both sides....so if he "encouraged" them, then he also encouraged those who hate them.

When it comes to Americans vs. white supremacists, the good guys seem to all be on one side. By drawing moral equivalence between the two, Trump was promoting racism.

(Barbarian, on being asked why nazis and white supremacists say "hail Trump")
Birds of a feather, maybe?

Most logical conclusion. Most people support leaders who embody their values. And given Trump's history of racism, it makes sense.

I thought the left considers all whites racist...

I don't think anyone is really stupid enough to believe that. C'mon. These guys see Hitler and Trump as heroes.

so it's hard to see why this matters.

Some of my family died keeping Hitler from taking the world. It matters.

White supremacists say lots of stupid things.

A good example:"A judge can't be impartial, because he's a Mexican."

Odd you would take them seriously now.

If people had taken Hitler seriously, we wouldn't have had to loose all those American troops, would we?

The Trumps and their company entered into a consent decree settling the litigation in 1975. The agreement contained no admission of wrongdoing, but required the Trump firm to institute a series of safeguards to make sure apartments were rented without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
FBI releases files on Trump apartments' race discrimination probe in '70s

The left has increasingly adopted a "all whites are racist" narrative.

Let me guess... you found some leftists somewhere who think so, and you're going to assume they speak for all leftists?

Yep. You did.

It would surprise me more if they didn't think he's racist (and sexist)....he is, after all, the worst kind of human.

He's a racist, a self-admitted sexual predator, and a serial adulterer.

Those are pretty racist.

Yep.
