"After days of drama and suspense, President Trump announced Thursday that his administration will exit the Paris climate agreement.

"So we're getting out," Trump said. "The Paris accord is very unfair at the highest level to the United States."

His decision fulfills a campaign promise and satisfies strong Republican opposition to the global climate deal but isolates the U.S. and is certain to bring condemnation from world leaders and critics in the scientific community.

Leaving the accord aligns the United States with Syria and Nicaragua."

Paris Agreement on climate change: US withdraws as Trump calls it 'unfair'

Yes! Thank you, Mr. President Trump.

He made a very strong case during his news conference for our withdrawal. Did you see it?

In fact, a number of those businesses and governments that advised the president not to withdraw couldn't cite any concrete reasons why Americans should harm themselves when other countries would be making no important sacrifices at all. As a result, they had to make the main part of their pitch a list of vague warnings like the USA would forfeit some alleged position of leadership or cause hard feelings overseas or something else in that vein.

We now have a more backwards Climate Change policy than North Korea, and should be condemned for it. The only people it is "unfair" to are those who are going to lose their profits from it *cough*Trump'sfriends*cough*, we have the technology and money to have completely renewable and clean energy.

I believe that God alone may save us if we're considered sheep's not goats at the final day.
No human effort can ever change the fact that God alone hold our fate in his hands.

Sorry, even if we are to blame for the rise in temperature we wouldn't be able to help ourselves. The human greed and the capitalistic gluttony is far stronger than the desire to "save" a planet our generation will leave of natural causes long before humanity suffer the apparent consequences anyway.

I refuse to believe that we won't end world hunger or climate change. Humans in whatever power over others only have so much power as the people ultimately let them have. If you believe that human greed and capitalistic gluttony is far stronger than people who desire to make change, it will be, but if enough people fight back, it won't be.

Who knew source of energy has an expiration date? And clean energy still requires fossil fuel source as backup.

Also, did you know Europe's "clean" energy cost their consumers $.39 per Kw, whereas it is $.11 per Kw in the US?

Everyone always knew that fossils fuels were in limited supply. The reason why fossils fuels are still used as backups is due to not not having the resources yet. If politicians and energies could think with their minds instead of their current pocketbooks, they would release that God put an infinite source of energy 93 million miles away, filled 2/3 of the Earth with another, and then gave it moving air.

A 29 cent difference is supposed to scare me? I'd gladly pay that much more for clean, renewable energy.

Pocketbooks exist from BOTH sides (hello... Solyndra scandal...remember?).

Everything has a limit, including "clean energy" (unless the sun shines only at your house at night). [Staff edit]. The wind doesn't blow all the time...

Solar panels are designed to absorb more energy than is used to compensate for night and overcast days. Where these windmills are built, the wind is actually is blowing all the time, trust me I lived there, but on the rare days with no wind they are designed both to generate more energy than their output and can also go without the wind to generate energy.

[Staff edit].

Europeans also use a lot less electricity than we do in the United States, about 4000 Kw per month per household compared to about 10,000 because they not only have cleaner energy, but are more efficient with their energy as well. I'm also not sure where you got $.39 from, the average price in Europe is about $.20/kw, with the highest in the EU being Denmark at $.29.

What exactly IS North Korea's climate change policy?

Most European countries don't compare to the US for sheer size, among other things. How do you efficiently carry energy within or between states who may only have a population density of 10 people per square mile? We only have five states with a population density greater than 500 per square mile.
