Parents and/or grandparents and the bizarre nicknames they give their kids/grandkids

So we all know people with weird nicknames that only their families call them and that don't make any sense except within their own family circle.

I've always wondered how this happens.

I don't call any of my 4 kids any odd nicknames except for my 3 year old daughter, who is my third born, a total daddy's girl, and admittedly my favorite (we all have them if we're honest...we never say it or admit it, but deep down you know the truth)...

I have called Leah "Lee Lee Butt" since she was born. No idea how it came to be, that's just my Lee Lee Butt.

So now I get it.

Daughter #2 was called Grabbit - don't ask me why - my husband did it and her sister and I still refer to her as Grabby

My nana nicknamed me Lark as a toddler because I was always up at dawn singing, like the little songbirds. I still am, ha.
