This is what we have heard:
And he said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. -Mark 4:26
He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. -Mark 4:27
The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. -Mark 4:28
But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come." -Mark 4:29

It was not common that our Lord spoke as if, so by this we understand He is not referring to Himself as man in the parable.

When paraphrase for clarity:

God is working as if man should spread the word on the ground of hearts.
Those who plant and water and the word spring and multiply in knowledge of God he knows not how.
For the inhabitants of the earth will be multiplied with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, first they spring, then awaken, then mature to bear fruit.
But when those hear the word matured, at once the Son of Man puts in the sickle, because the harvest of the inhabitants of the earth has come."

From this parable, we know that God is working to cause the word to grow in the hearts of the inhabitants of the earth.

As we have also heard :
I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. -1 Corinthians 3:6
So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. -1 Corinthians 3:7
He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. -1 Corinthians 3:8
For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building. -1 Corinthians 3:9

What growth that God has caused ? This is what we have heard:

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. -2 Peter 3:18

Why ? This is what we have heard:

Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation' -1 Peter 2:2

Then who are those considered mature ? This is what we have heard in Hebrew 5:11-14.

Those who hear the word, ought to be teacher teaching the basic principles of the oracles of God, being skilled in the word of righteousness and have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among us since the day we heard it and understood God's grace in all its truth.

Let God’s work be shown to us,His servants, and His glorious power to our children.

To His name we give glory.
Hallelujah.
Amen

There's a gardening principle woven in the statement. It's called broadcasting. You walk in a field with a bucket of seed and grab a handful and toss it in different directions. As you move you continue to scatter the seed.

If you've ever passed a field of wildflowers that's how they come to be. :)

Yours in His Service,

~bella

Jesus said to cast seeds. They will fall where they may. It is not up to the sower to determine how those seeds grow. That is not our job for in doing so we contaminate the outcome with our own worldly influence. Only God gets to determine how the Gospel of the Kingdom grows within those who hear it. The Gospel of the Kingdom runs contrary to the world man has built in our own image.

No, farmers allow the seed to fall where they may. A good farmer will plow the ground before they start planting.

For this is what we have heard:
Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love;
break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you. -Hosea 10:12

Only when we have broken up the fallow ground; then it is the time to seek the Lord and hear His words of righteousness.

It is true not up to the sower to determine how those seeds grow but we are still needed to water and sow the seed.

We can’t contaminate the hearts of others unless we are defiled to begin with. When we are defiled, we cannot be a good vessel for the master of the house to be used for good works. So then wash ourselves clean and share the gospel and be a true witness in Him.

We are not called to be independent of those whom we sow and water seed but we are to grow with them in the love of God as we share God’s gospel that contain God’s grace in all its truth.

Share the gospel like John the Baptist :
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! -John 1:29

Are we not called His sheep ? Are we not to be conformed to the image of the Lamb of God ? Yes, we are.
So, let us follow the Lord’s example.

He is talking about our own ground and no others

No where did Jesus say that nor would he dare say man should do God's job, usurping His will. The whole concept of the Gospel of the Kingdom was that His will be done, not man's or by man's interpretation. God, not man determines how we shall live. To do otherwise is to rebel against the Kingdom/governance of God.

We are not called to be independent of those whom we sow and water seed but we are to grow with them in the love of God as we share God’s gospel that contain God’s grace in all its truth.
Already a different gospel than the Gospel of the Kingdom is preached yet man deems he should blindly lead the blind.

Yes let us follow the Lord’s example. Jesus did nothing of His own will but only the will of the Father. That's what the Gospel of the Kingdom was all about.

Dear Timothyu,
I do not mean to offend you but just direct you to the truth in the gospel. I am not teaching you or others a different gospel.

We are not just called to sow seed in our own hearts and not others. Otherwise, why the Lord said this :
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, -Matthew 28:19

We are not just called to water our own hearts but to water others. Otherwise, why apostle Paul said this:
I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. -1 Corinthians 3:6

Likewise, we also heard :
Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another, -1 Thessalonians 4:9

Are apostle Paul teach a different gospel ? No.
Apostle Paul told us to grow in love toward one another. For we have been taught by God to love one another. Therefore, we are called to grow this love with one another. This is not a different gospel.

I never said that. We cast seeds and they fall where they may. The only plant we are expected to tend is our own. We can support fellow plants in the wind but we are not to interfere with their growth. We have no authourity over anyone but ourselves and can change no one but ourselves. Leave the brainwashing to politicians and advertisers.

Being supportive of others who follow the Gospel of the Kingdom does not mean directing them, but in the same way the HS was sent by Jesus to do for us, keep each other on the narrow path we already know.

And no offence taken btw
