This is what we have heard:
"No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light. -Luke 8:16
For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light. -Luke 8:17
Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away." -Luke 8:18
Did we not hear what the Lord have said :
And he said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? -Mark 4:13
If we have gained understanding of the parable of the sower, then we will understand all the parables including the parable of lamp under a basket.
So, what do we understand from the parable of the sower:
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. -Luke 8:11
So, we understand that a lamp is the word of God accordance to Psalm 119:105
Let us paraphrase the parable to get clarity:
No one after being enlightened the word of God covers it with a jar ?
No one after his eyes being enlightened the word of God to be put to sleep ?
The called out ones after his spirit being enlightened with the word of God will stand as a witness so that those who hear the word may be enlightened.
For no word of God that has been kept hidden that will not be made manifest in truth,
not is any word of God kept secret that will not be come to be known and come to light.
Take care then how you hear the word of God, for to the one who has the word of God, more will be given, and from the one who has not the word of God, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.

For we heard the parable:
No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar ?
Paraphrase for clarity:
No one after being enlightened the word of God be covers it with a jar ?
This is what we have heard about a jar that contain the word of God or manna:
It contained the gold altar of incense and the ark of the covenant, covered with gold on all sides, in which there was a GOLD JAR containing the manna, Aaron’s staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant.-Hebrews 9:4
Here we can discern that no one after being enlightened the word of God — be covers it with a jar of clay ? For we come to understand from what is written that only gold jar containing manna or word of God.
So, we can understand that
No one after being enlightened the word of God be covers it with a jar ? ; but every one after being enlightened the word of God be covers it with a gold jar !
What does that means ?
This is what we have heard:
The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the Lord tests hearts.- Proverbs 17:3
So, everyone after being enlightened the word of God, their hearts will be tested in the furnace of trials or afflictions for gold.
As we have heard what apostle Peter have spoken :
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, -1 Peter 1:6
so that the tested genuineness of your faith'more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire'may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. -1 Peter 1:7
And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. I will say, 'They are my people'; and they will say, 'The LORD is my God.'" -Zechariah 13:9
