lol, ask a criminal to leave. That will work. How are you suppose to know the criminals are not armed? If you dont know then firing your weapon is justifiable . Maybe this person should have asked if the criminals were armed before shooting them? Also even if these criminals are not armed ,how does disarming yourself help that situation? Just let criminals rob you, even potentially rape and or murder you?

A man was selling meat door to door. He walked up a man’s driveway. The homeowner shot him dead. The homeowner was arrested and sent to prison for murder.

But this isnt the same thing. The Op news refers to criminals breaking and entering, not simply walking in the driveway..
