The same thing is happening now in Oxford and Britain too, apparently. What happened in Canada provides the context of how oppressive the culture has become.
Of couse, in the USA, the major universities are private. That means at Yale, to say that students ought to wear what they want for Halloween, is enough to get professors run out of their jobs too. Either way, the culture is what is kicking the legs out of peoples right to have a public opinion contrary to Groupspeak.

Well, we all make up or contribute to what constitutes culture. So are you saying that the Church is also to blame? If so, congratulations on such an accurate observation.

Much of the blame falls squarely on Christians going to sleep and falling miserably to be the Salt of the Earth. Oooh...that hurts, doesn't it.

Good will not come forth and grow in society unless it is brought forth by the saints. Demonstratively, remove the saints and the Christian influence from the earth and darkness will multiply and spread. But of course it's easier to lay all the blame for spreading evil in the earth on the godless.

Being English, I’m disappointed by the response of the CofE to this whole question. While they are right to point out that bullying is destructive and should be legislated against, i.e. teachers and schools should be given a legally supported framework to deal with bullying, caving into the notion that children should be encouraged and supported to question their own gender is cowardly and fundamentally wrong. This appears to be a political decision, it’s disappointing that the leaders of the UK’s largest Christian group don’t have the courage to speak out against deeply damaging ungodly trends or the insight to recognise why this way of thinking is so dangerous.

that's interesting. I'm a canadian and I've never heard of this. Who's going to remember these pronouns? and it would seem there is a measure of interpretation needed in order to apply a pronoun to someone before knowing what they desire if they even desire a transgendered pronoun at all. Perhaps they like the pronoun of their birth sex or they like the reverse and not a label that says they are different and lets everyone know it.

It seems it would be easier to remove all gender specific pronouns and use a neutral pronoun for all. People often couple this issue with race and if true then perhaps we shouldn't see gender and call everyone by the same pronoun, if there is no black and white then there's no male or female. Of course this creates it's own confusions as there still would be a demand for different bathrooms/change rooms as the vast majority of us are not comfortable getting undressed in front of the general populous of the opposite sex. If a "third" room is made does a transgender with male anatomy feel comfortable changing in front of a transgendered with female anatomy? In the context of a children's school is this responsible to allow?

Other words like waiter/waitress seem you could just say waiter but isn't this picking a gender side rather than being gender neuter so it would have to "server"? Do we need to band all gender words in favour for gender neutrality?

You are so right .It is not so much that there are patently insane people who for whatever reason are deeply disturbed (there always have been and they should be treated ), but, that there are some who go along with the insanity ,epecially in the Church tells us we must be close to the end of the age and that God is using this to "seperate the wheat from the chaff " .
Since the Holy Spirit guides us to sanity and the Truth ,we can note those who are not of the Spirit , by their weakness to stand for the Truth .

What kind of nut allows children to pretend to be a different gender and then ask adults to play along?

Someone that believes they were born in the "wrong body" and wants to make physical changes to it based on how they feel is a huge red flag and obviously in need of psychological care. The idea of playing along with it and filling a kid with drugs and fantasies is criminal and monstrous.

Post-modernist Christians are to blame, most certainly.
Those who have remained silent share some of the blame too. Cowardice is not an attractive trait, although it is understandable.
