I'd been needing a haircut for a long time and finally got one in Juneau.

He's a little taller and I have never been agile enough to pull off those funny walks.

Technically I never was.
- Signed up for a 2 year ROTC program where I did enlisted Basic and was in a Reserve unit simultaneously.
- Got a Reserve commission, did Artillery OBC and was assigned to a National Guard Unit.
- Hurt my back in OBC, did 1 drill with the Guard unit and was medically retired.

Life is busy. Juggling med school apps and interviews - will hear back from the first set in a month or so. Add to that homework, tests, and lots of organ practice.

Pats has shown herself to be quite resilliant and I'm sure this latest trial is just a bump in the road for her.

I chatted with her for a bit afterwards. Things seem scary but she has some plans that sound exciting too. I've no doubt she'll be fine no matter what ends up happening.

Thanks for all the hugs and stuff. I'm hanging in there. It looks like I may be able to get some form of light duty work or an outside chance of short term disability.

Also, My roommate and I are talking about starting up an in home daycare preschool. Which is what I used to do before I started in health care. So, we'll just see how things go.
