  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey guys, sorry to bring a big bummer in here, but over the coming year, when you have a moment, could you pray for my family? I just found out my grandfather (my mom's dad) was put into hospice this week. It doubly sucks because my mom just lost a sister two years ago.

Depends on who you ask. It's all in the context. I've joked with my male friends about sex, cannibalism, and what Lerana Bobbit did. It's a way of dealing with real issues all guys face at one time or another. it's mainly girls and insecure men that get upset. if it's a nasty comment or an advance, that's different, though.

Besides, I've seen the Women's Corner. Eye opener.

He's been sick a long time though. Cancer, failing organs, other stuff. He's lookin' pretty bad. They gave him two years, so we're going to visit him for Christmas, but things spiraled fast and now they're saying six months-ish.

Sorry about your dad.
