  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You all are vastly entertaining, I must say. haha! ;)

Had a quick question for MD, though. In regards to the Cursed...what happens to those who are burned? I remember you saying that they heal quickly, even if parts of their bodies are severed or burned. I believe you mentioned something about how even if they're burned into a pile of ashes their spirits still remain. So...will they reform eventually into a Mist-cursed? Will the Mist-cursed simply exist now as a pile of ashes? lol. I wasn't sure what happened to those who were severely dismembered or burned to a crisp. Or...what if they're decapitated? rofl. Just want to know what damage the humans can do to the Cursed. :p

Yes, Cella, the ashes will reform into the original form. They will also be aware of their condition, in a weird, ethereal sort of way. severed body parts continue to function as long as mechanisms permit. If you cut off their heads, they can still talk and things and are connected to their bodies by an ethereal thread, so they can control it, they just can't see it. All of the settlers' means of keeping them back have to do with delaying reformation. For instance, burn them and scatter their ashes on the wind. Bury pieces of them separately. Bind them with stones and sink them. Dump them in a river and let the tide carry them away. Feed them to the dogs. etc

Even then, the bits will find their way back together... It'll just be a looooong time.

Haha. Gotcha. Makes sense. Also makes it very painful for the Mist-cursed. I'm assuming once a part of them is severed, they no longer feel pain in that part. Say someone removed their foot. That foot would no longer feel pain. But their ankle where it was severed would because that part is still connected to the brain. Ouch.:p Talk about a way to torture a Mist-cursed. Would be quite simple and infinitely more painful because they wouldn't have to worry about killing them.
