But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

God is necessarily omniscient (all knowing). Jesus is God. How can there be some things the father knows and Jesus doesn't if Jesus is 'one with the father' and part of the Trinity?

If Jesus is not omniscient how can he be God?

When Jesus made that statement he was a man on Earth with divan limitations, now that is not the case.

This is, in a sense, part of the Mysterium Fidei, the mystery of faith; that God became man. How can God, who is all-knowing, not know something? Even more, how can God, who can neither suffer nor die, suffer and die? And yet that is precisely what we confess: Christ our Lord--consubstantial with the Father and therefore God of God, very and and actual God--suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried.

Consider St. Ignatius' hymn here in his letter to the Ephesians,

"There is one Physician who is of both flesh and spirit; both made and not made; God existing in flesh; true life in death; both of Mary and of God; first passible and then impassible--even Jesus Christ our Lord."

You have to understand the Jewish marriage customs of the time. It has nothing to do with being omniscient. There are many mansions in my Father' house...I go and prepare a place for you. For where I am, you shall be also...

Yeshua said that no man knows the day or the hour for a reason. It is part of the Jewish marriage. First the groom must pay a bride price for his beloved (which Yeshua did on the cross) and have a contract (covenant). The groom would then pour his beloved a cup of wine. If she drank it, it meant she accepts the proposal. Now that his beloved has accepted, she is now set apart. Then the groom goes away to build a place to live for his beloved (John 14:2-3 I go and prepare a place for you). Only when his father says he is finished can he then go back to get his beloved and bring her back with him.

I was thinking he meant it in the infinitive as he is also talking about angels and heaven in the same statement.

OP: Q: "If Jesus is not omniscient, how can he be God?"

A. God the Father outRANKS God the Son, and chose not to reveal in Man's time measurements the beginning of 7 years' Tribulations.

Jesus veiled many of His Godly attributes during His ~30 year mission on Planet Earth.

He proved that He was the Divine Messiah...DEITY...DIVINITY.
