First, as noted earlier, only those who are truly in Christ can have their prayers answered. While God may hear the prayers of many, only those born again by the Holy Spirit can have experience answered prayer.[/FONT]

[FONT='Arial','sans-serif']How do we know that answered prayer is a true evidence of conversion? Because both the former pagan sailors (chapter 1) and the wicked people of Nineveh in chapter three have their prayers answered. See the irony here? The only prayer that God hears from unbelievers is that of truly repenting, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to believe the Gospel.[/FONT]

[FONT='Arial','sans-serif']The second evidence we have of conversion is the articulation of the triune Lords salvation. The word salvation here means deliverance. This means not only the trial of the fish, but also from every hindrance or circumstance. In the larger scope of Scripture, the Lord is only Savior from sin.[/FONT]

[FONT='Arial','sans-serif']One surefire way to determine a genuine convert is ask, Is Jesus the only way to heaven? The only Savior? Ones answer to that question tells you where their heart truly is.
