July of the is year Big bang cosmology suffered a minor nervous breakdown when two different studies were peer reviewed and published in 2 different big bang believing science journals and gave an age of the universe that differs by 1,200,000,000 years!

One article published in the astronomical journal (volume 160 #2pegs the age of the universe at 12.6 billion years.

Another article published in Science daily of July 15 pegs the age of the universe at 13.8 billion years old!

This is not a rounding error or little difference folks. But of course both are very very wrong. We can know the age of the universe because the one who was there and who called it all into existence gave us a road map to let us know that it is very young according to big bang standards!

Well you can choose to believe the Creator who was the only one there or not. But if you are willing to accept teh big bang and Darwinian Evolution, you are taking the word of men who were not there, did not witness any of it and yet write massvie volumes saying they know what took place! It is God as witness for creation, versus no one for the BB/Evolution! There are more witnesses for Creation!

The Bible does not tell us how old the earth is. It doesnt go into any real detail.

Well if you reject that god communicated to His highest creation through men- yes. Otherwise, the bible as God said is His inspired word!

So now we are stuck with two accounts that cannot be tested and observed scientifically nor be repeated!
Both look at the same evidence and come up with radically different conclusions.

But based on the proven laws of science we can test repeat and observe and apply to both models of origins, creation is far more supported by empirical science than the big bang and evolution every day!

Who gave you that knowledge that people interpret Genesis wrongly? Did you test it to prove its validitry?

And the key word in your last line is believe! It is a belief brought about by a worldview that is atheistic at its core and seeks to prove the universe is self existing and needs no supernatural being!

Well christendom is filled with wheat and tares so sadly, with many people come many fanciful opinions as to what they think Genesis says!

But once again, proven testable laws of science lends far more support to the Creation model as it is written in Genesis 1!

Yes I believe in an earth that is approx. 6K. Besides God simply saying He did it. We have the genealogies that trace back almost unbroken from Jesus to Adam! So unless you are now saying that the genealogies are lies and the history found in all the books of the OT are lies- we have a record that declares the universe is only about 6K years.

Amazing. I really cant understand anyone believing the earth is 6k years old. It is baffling to be honest.

Genesis dating cannot be taken as literal fact to the age of the earth! Genealogies dont prove the age of the earth. The creation account is a story of the overall creation of the earth etc etc.

What God has said about His creation is a summary of it. He doesnt go into great detail.

Both the Big Bang Theory and the Theory of Evolution are very well established major theories, with enormous levels of verification and evidence. The ToE is stronger, probably, than the BBT, but it's sort of like saying 'steel is fairly strong but titanium alloy is stronger' - either one will serve for tableware with no danger of failure due to stress. At this point there are no known major issues with either theory. Details to be filled in? Yes. Serious difficulties? No.

So you believe the genealogy of Jesus which traces Him back to Adam is a lie then? Adam was said to have been made on the sixth evening and morning approx. 6,000 years ago.

Do you believe Adam was homo erectus, homo habilis, homo zinjanthropes, Homoe neanderthalis, or homo sapien? When did God infuse man with His image? Or are we not infusesd with that image?

Actually it is held by 10's of millions and taught by tens of thousands of Scientists who are believers and were led to young earth special creation by their studies as evolutionists and big bangers!

That’s what creation support usually comes down to.
