It only confuses a person more when they prefer to listen to conspiracies, politicians, some irresponsible pastors, facebook, quack doctors, kooks, and crankpots. You live in constant suspicion, fear, and defiance.

Denialism is a defense mechanism. Some people just aren't mentally ready to accept the current reality of things.
