Ok, so enough with the dark depressing stuff thats been going on lol. I have GOOD news for once!
Over the weekend I was accepted as a Postulant into the Brothers and Sisters of Penance. This secular life of penance is deeply spiritual, but the changes should come in ways that do not hinder working and living in the secular world. From the very few brothers and sisters I have talked to so far, many seem very nice. In alot of cases, both husbands and wives have joined together to live a life of penance - very cool!

The order lives the Franciscan rule of 1221 (well, a modified rule, that is) to better live in a penitential state like the Gospel commands us to do. I ask for your prayers to gradually take on this new life (the preparation to take an oath [note: not vows] to fully live the rule is 4 years, but can go on longer if needed). Anywho, I humbly ask for your prayers as I begin this journey to discearn if this is right for me....
