What really bothers me is why isn't he putting a stop to all of this stary eyed hero worship? A true Christian would've put the skids on it right away unless he is seriously is taking it in. Even Elvis stopped in the middle of a concert to stop a person holding up a sign stating Elvis is king, replying that only Jesus is King.

I suppose it's because the few Obama supporters who are engaging in such so-called "worship" are no more representative of ALL Obama supporters than the few McCain supporters that shout "Off with [Obama's] head".

We surely could use some symptomatic relief. However, failing to address the perverse incentives that drive health care spending inexorably upward, making insurance unaffordable for millions and shaping (or misshaping) the practice of medicine, will leave us worse off than we are today

As much as obama decries it, taxing insurance benefits is one of the two biggest things we can do to lower costs without lowering quality. He has no idea how health care works or why costs have gone up.

This is apparently an Obama pro, but it should be rebuked, so that the mass media doesn't intentionally and even maliciously influence the election, especially by censoring important ads and thereby inhibiting free speech.

In the past, such rhetoric was just that — rhetoric. But Obama's positioning himself with alarming stealth to put that rhetoric into action on a scale not seen since the birth of the welfare state.

I think that we redo many loans like McCain calls for, it would actually correct a significant part of the problem at a cost that is fairly obvious, rather than attempting to get around the problem every which way. Expect the banks to pay for it. Don't just reduce principal, change other terms.

In any case, Obama's plan won't be as effective as this, no matter what he claims. His only claim can be the expense.

Obama isn't going to destroy the world or anything (or probably doesn't intend to), unless you're one of the children who get aborted... or maybe if you work in health care. He doesn't care if the abortion rate goes from 25% of Americans to 40%, because "it's above" his "pay grade." The omission is that he refuses to tell people that he doesn't care.
