anyone watch Fox news and how their idea of news compromises mostly of Wright fiasco and anything that has to do with murder, pedophiles and pictures of Hannah Montana's naked back?

Fox news executives actually have a demographic guide that includes the 'uneducated demo'.

Rupert Murdock knows what hes doing.

Ted Turner too. =P

Rev Wright is loving this roller coaster hes getting to ride! imagine all the free food hes getting from all these interviews!

I take pretty strong exception to this, given that McCain doesn't HAVE a real health care plan, and Hillary's record on health care is one of massive failure.

Add to that the fact that McCain and Hillary both think that sabre rattling and joking about war with Iran are good Middle East policy...

Add to that the fact that McCain and Hillary BOTH pander on the economy without seeming to have any grasp of the effects of their policy proposals (such as a freeze on gas taxes which wouldn't change prices at the pump, but would pour tons more profits into the oil companies)

It seems like you're pretty much wrong on all these policy issues. It appears that this is personal, and people are casting about to try and find a valid policy issue so they don't appear as petty
I will take your opinion under advisement. You are right about McCain and health care but so wrong about Clinton’s plan. She was working on a good plan when Bill Clinton was in but the Republicans killed it. McCain’s health plan is nothing more than Bush’s plan and it seem that Barack Obama’s plan is nothing more than Bush’s plan repainted. Under Obama the “go to the emergency room if you don’t have a plan” will be the backup health plan. That is unacceptable.

In November and on the ballot; Nader’s plan would be the best, Clinton’s plan next, Obama’s plan next and McCain’s plan last. Under Nader and Clinton all would have a medical plan and under Obama and McCain some would not.

Under Clinton troops would be coming home in 60 days and under Obama 12 to 18 months and some of the Obama’s people are saying 24 months and that is with the OK from the military. This post is my opinion.

On the economy I pine for the good old days when Bill Clinton was in office. Everyone’s portfolio was looking fat.

Wright has no idea what he's talking about. He whines about the size and power of the federal government because they are too inept too feed poor people, forcing his church to actually follow Christ's commands and do it and then in the next paragraph whines about the size and power of the federal government because they are capable of targeted biological warfare against their own citizens. Does he want a government big enough to solve the issues of his parishioners or small enough to stay out of his life? Can't have it both ways.

And I'm really loving the obama supporter's responding with "You're not going to vote for him anyway." Such a beautiful admission that the ones engaging in critical thought are not the obama supporters.

And McCain has endorsed a health plan that's guaranteed issue personal plans with the elimination of group plans so anyone not covered will have chosen to be. Still too much government for my taste since the market can easily solve the health care problems but better than forcing people to buy what they don't want or need (Hillary) or putting congress in charge of health care so the whole system devolves into the same abstruse rain-forest-destroying illogical mess that is medicare (Obama).

yes, Nader is the only real presidential candidate.

but, sadly, something is wrong with America; we can't see the best candidate is actually that weird old guy no one likes.

Well, as the whole thing has been dragging along it's actually given me the opportunity to check out more possible candidates. Enough so, that i'm now leaning towards Nader if Obama is not a candidate in the end. Well, Nader or just not bothering with the whole thing at all.

I still haven't decided if iam going to write in Eric Cartman or Tom and Jerry. Cartman has the songs but the other two know how to work together when it counts.

Vote Bender B. Rodriguez and Philip J. Fry! You get an ego-maniac and a moron all in one go ... just like having Clinton and McCain at the same time :D

Wright has some good points.

He knows the economy is in shambles and people are dying in poverty because we're in a WAR. War costs money, LOTS of it. About three million dollars an hour it costs.

Why doesn't this fact get anyone mad? You wouldn't be mad if you were in poverty, but the govt keeps cutting social programs intended to help families in need?

Reagan's solution to poverty = give money to big business and they will make more jobs.

which didn't happen; those businesses spent that extra capital towards everything BESIDES creating jobs.

Wright understands that the economy is going to do crappy if we're fighting an unprofitable, unpopular, wasteful and unjust war; why can't the fundies on the right understand this?

McCain won't get us out of Iraq, which means McCain won't get our economy out of the toilet.

Obama WILL pull out of Iraq, and pull this economy back to its feet.

Its VERY simple fiscal policy. War = money wasted. Thats a concept a five-year old can understand, but McCain doesn't seem to grasp it, and many people here do not as well, which gives me a headache.

Boy have you fell for a bunch of BULL propoganda....ahhahahah:doh:

When Reagan entered office the United States inflation rate stood at 11.83%[77] and unemployment at 7.5%.[78] Reagan implemented policies based on supply-side economics and advocated a laissez-faire philosophy.[79] seeking to stimulate the economy with large, across-the-board tax cuts

During Reagan's presidency federal income tax rates were lowered significantly,[83] although FICA payroll tax rates increased to maintain Social Security funding.[84] Real gross domestic product (GDP) growth recovered strongly after the 1982 recession and grew during his eight years in office at an annual rate of 3.4% per year.[85] Unemployment peaked at 10.8% percent in December 1982—higher than any time since the Great Depression then dropped during the rest of Reagan's presidency.[81] Sixteen million new jobs were created, while inflation significantly decreased.[86] The net effect of all Reagan-era tax bills was a 1% decrease in government revenues.[87]

Reagan's legacy is mixed, with supporters pointing to a more efficient and prosperous economy[187] and a peaceful end to the Cold War.[188] Critics argue that his economic policies caused huge budget deficits, quadrupling the United States national debt,

It's true that Wright's viewpoints have not been discussed. It's simply been stamped with the "Black Liberation Theology" label and considered automatically "bad". "Black Liberation Theology", in fact, has become the new buzz-word right along with "Marxism", "Socialism", "Communism", "Socialized Medicine", etc etc.

I don't think those that are trying so hard to make this an issue care that Wright may have a point with some of the things he says. As long as it can easily be used as a cheap non-issue against Obama, that's all that's necessary.

Wright may have a point; I don't know.

That simply isn't true. As I said in my previous post, Wright may have a point with his viewpoints. Whether or not there's a deeper truth beyond "God d- America" hasn't been examined; everything he's said has been taken at face value only because Obama detractors are more interested in quick, easy and cheap slimes than truly discussing real issues that affect real Americans.

Speaking of Manufactured Outrage...

Obama seems to be working overtime to manufacture his.
He just can't win, can he? :D

No matter what Obama does, it's going to be wrong. If he doesn't denounce his pastor, he gets criticized for being associated with him. If he does denounce his pastor and in fact claims to be outraged by some of his recent comments, it's "manufactured outrage".

The true colors of those who are trying to find absolutely anything against Obama are showing.

Now that Obama has come out against Wright, does that mean Wright's 'shocking' and 'disgusting' comments no longer have to be taken 'in context'? ^_^^_^^_^^_^^_^
What's it going to take to satisfy the people who have made this such an issue? There was controversy, and Obama denounced his pastor. Not good enough for some Republicans. Obama denounces his pastor even more strongly and even says that he's outraged by some of his comments, it's still not good enough.

If you truly cared about the truth in this issue, Obama's denouncements and outrage should be good enough. That's obviously not the case.

And it only took Obama two decades to see Wright for what he is.

People change. And it's quite possible that the sermons we've heard so much are not representative of ALL his sermons.

Whatcha think, Ringo-Any more room underneath that bus? Move over, Granma! ;)

Unbelievable. Republicans wanted Obama to distance himself from his pastor. He did, and now he's being accused of "throwing him under the bus".

Obama can't win. I've been saying that all along, and this proves it. It also proves that this is a manufactured outrage - "let's throw the kitchen sink at Obama, pretending to be outraged over the pastor's comments, and see if it sticks".
