By adding "Trump for President in 2020" to the end of every post, the OP is not only telegraphing his personal biases, but of his own accord introducing the name of of the one individual into the conversation that he is so vociferously arguing that the rest of us ignore!

47 years including 8 as vp. And wrong on most decisions.

Pretty amazing you can have a career like that while being “wrong on most decisions”

Imagine if he had been right half of the time he would be running the Solar System by now.

He would probably have a better chance of winning also.

Note: deflecting the attention to Trump is a sign of surrender to the facts of the OP
This is a silly rule; to say that mentioning what Gates said about Trump means accepting that Biden is bad at foreign policy. You're the one deflecting here.

I wouldn't be so sure. Trump has been a colossal failure at many things - and had been even prior to 2016 - and yet still has a decent shot.

you would have to address that to the people who make the rules for the forum
There is no rule that if you post what Gate's said about Trump's foreign policy, then it's a sign of submitting that what he said about Biden is true.

Gates credibility is being weighed. It's completely relevant to examine what he said about others towards that end.

"Signature" or not, openly campaigning for one presidential candidate at the end of every post, while attempting to limit all criticism to the other, is a blatant attempt to suppress freedom of speech in a Forum, of all things, whose stated purpose is to encourage the exchange of ideas!

If former Secretary of States Gates had mentioned Leviticus' views on American foreign policy, or if he was a presidential candidate in the 2020 Election, I would have no objection to have him included in the conversation!

what Mr Gates thinks about Trump doesn’t effect in any way shape or form his thoughts on Biden.
So what are some other thoughts that Gates has about Biden.

July 2020 interview:

He continued: "I think that we are in a weaker position in the world today than we were three years ago."

Looking to November, Gates said "I think that what the country needs is somebody who will try to bring us together." He added that despite disagreements on foreign policy, presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden is "a man of great integrity" and a "decent human being."

what Mr Gates thinks about Trump doesn’t effect in any way shape or form his thoughts on Biden.

You brought him up as a valid authority on a person's qualifications for president. So his comments on Trump are quite appropriate. He said:

"At least on national security, I believe Mr. Trump is beyond repair. He is stubbornly uninformed about the world and how to lead our country and government, and temperamentally unsuited to lead our men and women in uniform. He is unqualified and unfit to be commander-in-chief."

If you didn't want to put that on the table, it was a bad idea to bring Gates up at all.

Me thinks thou doest protests too loudly.
Given that this President and his supporters have protested long and loud when their conservative "excesses" have been censored on social media, these attempts to suppress any comments Gates made concerning Trump appear hypocritical!

Actually, it was Gates who says that Trump is unqualified and unfit to be our commander-in-chief.
Add Gates' name to Secretary of Defense Mattis who at one time was seriously considering invoking the 25th Amendment because of this President's erratic behavior and his "unfitness" to lead the nation!

Apparently there are also rumblings concerning this President dissatisfaction with the current Secretary of Defense and the Joint Chiefs for their refusal in allowing him to use the military as his "private" police force - to be deployed at his personal discretion during the middle of a presidential election!

Given that their Oath of Office is to uphold the Constitution, not personal loyalty to the President, these individuals have no other choice - given that "policing" was not a power delegated to the federal government, and as such resides with the states, it is only with the request of the governor(s) that the military can be deployed to restore order!

No president is an expert in every area. Good presidents seek out quallified, ethical, and compassionate Cabinet officials to advise them and run their departments well.

So let's go for a big stretch, and assume that Biden, who has 47 years of government experience and exhibits a good command of the facts in his speeches, and Trump, who doesn't read, attend briefings, or pay any attention whatsoever to facts, are "equal" in knowledge.

Trump picks a cabinet filled with former lobbyists, including an EPA secretary who was chosen because when he was running the EPA in his own state filed a lawsuit against the agency he was chosen to direct! He chose two department heads, Betsy DeVos and DeJoy, because of huge campaign contributions. He chose Wilbur Ross, who, as president of the Bank of Cyprus, was a Russian money launderer, as Secretary of Labor. He chose William Barr to protect him against all rightful and just investigations--and to go on witch hunts to hurt his "enemies." And so Trump is totally unschooled and egocentric in regards to national policy, and all his cabinet members are incompetent, corrupt, or both.

I know that Biden will choose a Cabinet wisely. I hope he would choose Susan Rice to be Secretary of State. The military respects him and knows he holds them in the highest respect. No general would ever kneel in desperate prayer in the National Cathedral, as Mattis prayed over Trump, because he feared that someday the military would have to take action to have him removed. Several generals signed on to work with him because they feared the country would fall apart if they didn't, but when faced with his obstinate irrationality and dishonesty realized there was nothing they could do--except pray about when it might be necessary to take action to remove him.

So if Biden has a good Cabinet, and listens and studies before making decisions, we will do fine.

A chimpanzee, sitting in the Oval Office and tossing a coin, would be preferable to the current President - at least the nation would be assured that its "simian" leader was making the right decision 50% of the time, a huge improve over the situation that presently exists!
