Time flys, I'm now in the second year of my nursing degree. Our placements for second year have just gone up and I am stoked.

5 weeks in the medical ward
2 weeks in paediatrics,
2 weeks in obstetrics
2 weeks with the district nurse
1 week in a primary health organisation
2 weeks in an elder care facility

^_^

Continuing education as an adult is definately a very awesome experience. Has anyone else gone back to study as an adult

My wife started her nursing degree about 2 weeks ago.
I intend to start a masters before the end of this year. I did my teacher training as an adult as well, that was enjoyable.

I have also done the first few modules of Charis Bible College (Andrew Wommack). That was a treat!

woot, is she in first year? Is nursing a 3 year degree in the UK

I was going to start my masters this year, but the nursing degree turned out to be a lot more work than I thought

What are you going to do your Masters in?

i did go back about 20 years ago, for 2 semesters.
it was definitely an experience that i am greatful for, as i learned much which has stood me in good stead.
unfortunately the money ran out, so i could not continue to get my degree in psychology.

I loved my 2 weeks with babies, but arent your placements a bit short?

Oh, a nursing degree in the UK is 3 and a half to four years depending on university, the advanced diploma is 3 years.

I'm fairly sure God had it in our 'Life-contract' that we would be LIFE-long... :thumbsup: students - really kewl! as I continue to LOVE learning :clap:

That aside, I endured nursing-school over 3 decades ago;
where my sweet innocence they destroyed, wanting to force us thru a rotation at the "Abortion :eek: clinic".
As a 19 yr. young child-of-God, I was totally unaware such a demonic practice existed;
along with other destructive :eek: medical practices, that horrified me, where I came to regret entering nursing-school.

All I ever wanted to be was a Teacher, which successfully I have enjoyed in soo many different ways, sans a formal-degree, and
the rewards are huge!!! where I get to positively & constructively empower... :thumbsup: each individual ~ PRAISE :clap: God!
