Now the Federal government wants to ban gas stoves. What's next, flush toilets?

First it was Obama trying to kill the coal industry. Then Biden shut off all the oil pipelines. Then they wanted to force everybody to buy electric cars. Now they want to shut down anything that uses natural gas.

Before they're done, we'll all be sitting in the dark, shivering against the cold, eating raw food, and praying for an early spring.

She ought to know. She worked in a bar that probably had gas stoves, and we can all see the result, every time she opens her mouth. ;)

And then they can ban the fridge. Let them eat MREs.

I think I shall build an outdoor wood fired oven.

I live in the middle of a US National Forest that's loaded with whitetails. I also happen to own a passel of firearms. If the government wants to deny the means of sustenance, that's fine. I will merely turn Robin Hood and begin eating the King's deer.

New York's Governor Kathy Hochul joins the Biden administration in the war on cooking, and heating too.
Well, at least the next generation will be well-equipped for living under conditions not seen since the early Middle Ages....or perhaps since the Irish Potato Famine. :)

I suspect a lot of the nonsense coming out of the Soviet Republik of Kalifornya and similar West Coast gulags will cease to be a problem once everybody out there has to walk everywhere they go. The ban on gasoline engines will bring down their electrical grid fairly rapidly, and few of the urban dwellers out there own horses any more, to the best of my knowledge. It's hard to get to the city center to riot and burn when you have to go 25 miles on foot before you arrive. :)

They can virtually riot as long as the batteries hold out in their cell phones.

And now San Francisco is banning gas water heaters and furnances. San Francisco Bay area to phase out natural gas heating appliances

Naturally, there are still people who will always say that if gas stoves are banned, then anyone claiming that they'll also come after anything else that is powered by natural gas is using a slippery slope fallacy.
So here's the ban tally so far on track: Cars, stoves, water heaters, furnaces....
Oh yes, and gas powered generators: California's Generator Ban: What You Need to Know.

Good luck with your non-gas powered generator giving you power when the collapsed grid couldn't handle the overload of everything else.

And those leaf blowers? Yep! Also on the ban list: Loud, Gas-Belching Leaf Blowers Will Soon Be Illegal in 1 State. Is This Just the Beginning?

Lawn mowers and snow blowers too: How California's Gas-Powered Lawn Equipment Ban Affects Landscaping Businesses?.

On top of all this, they're banning the most reliable sources of creating the electricity that is meant to power what you'll actually be allowed to own. Coal, natural gas, oil....gone. Maybe they'll try to generate electricity using electricity.

Then you also have the insane plan to block the sun by spraying Calcium Carbonate into the atmosphere. It is ostensibly to reflect some of the sunlight away in order to counter 'global warming'™ but it will also impact on the effectiveness of solar water heaters and solar panels for electricity.

Makes us wonder if depriving the country of reliable power, or any power, is the ultimate goal. Of course, suggesting this will always bring out those who scream "conspiracy theory!" in order to shut down the discussion.
Those in California who are now getting more rain than they can handle should realize that the whole climate change idea has fallen apart. They had drought for about a decade, and it was blamed on climate change. Now they're getting all the rain they need to make up for the drought, and they complain about climate change as a result of that too.

Read about huge protests in Holland and Belgium lately where the EU is trying to ban nitrate fertilizers and gasoline tractors. The farmers are saying that it will put them under for sure.

Maybe when we're all starving to death because agriculture has ceased to exist, they might wake up and change their minds. But I doubt it.

When we're all starving to death for lack of food, then they'll say that this is proof that we need to reduce the population of the world. Not being able to grow food, not being able to heat our homes, and not being able to go anywhere or transport anything will certainly accomplish that goal.

FYI ... They're wanting to change our washing machines, too ...

A proposed rule by President Biden's Department of Energy (DOE) would change efficiency standards for washing machines by mandating new machines use considerably less water in the administration's latest effort to "confront the global climate crisis."

Those mandates would force manufacturers to reduce cleaning performance to ensure their machines comply, leading industry giants such as Whirlpool said in public comments on the rule. They'll also make the appliances more expensive and laundry day a headache—each cycle will take longer, the detergent will cost more, and in the end, the clothes will be less clean, the manufacturers say, according to The Washington Free Beacon.
