Somewhere long ago, I heard a Bible-college instructor say from some level of reliability, that after suffering a loss of hearing, Ludwig could lay down on the floor and feel the resonating 5th Symphony notes. Is that true?

that is most interesting although I haven't come across it mentioned before. My husband tried it out, I played the opening 4 notes on the grand piano, and he said that he felt it better through the soles of his feet! So I would think it is correct to assume that the story is true.
