Thoughts on this?

I just started and he seems to be saying believing isn't enough. I haven't
yet seen him mention accepting Christ into your heart. He has said many
believers will get a shock on Judgement Day. He seems to be inferring that
includes born again Christians, if they haven't done enough for Jesus.

Anybody else read this book?

Thanks

We went through it when I was a youth leader. He is saying that people are “fans” without truly accepting the truth. They go through the motions and cheer but it is an outside thing and not an inner change in the heart.

No, I have not read the book.

However, faith without works is dead.

That doesn't mean you need works in order to be saved.
But what it does mean is that if you are in fact saved, then your works should reflect that.

Jesus had a story about this in Luke 13. The man with the fig tree. He went out, saw there were no figs on it, and had it cut down. (short version. Go read it yourself).

Point being, I think that many people who really believe they are born again believers, will find out otherwise on judgement day.

I think anyone who has accepted Jesus in their heart IS saved and other people, yourself included are not up to the task of waving their finger around and pointing out who is and isn’t going to heaven

I haven't yet read the book but I recall when people asked Jesus what they needed to do in order to be a part of His kingdom and He said they only needed to believe. But believing should show in your actions too as Christ said, "if you have faith as little as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain 'move over there' and it will"
