What happened to the people who lived in North America and South America during the times of the Old Testament and New Testament?
Did they know of God/Christ.

I think you will find that all indigenous peoples have Genesis 1 embedded in their cultures (including their religions). Their reverence for creation and the creator is worthy of study.

There are some recent findings that are very fascinating -- evidence of Hebrew writings and artifacts in the southwestern Americas.
There is also evidence of travel from China to the western US coast, and nordic travel to the eastern coast.
