I also have a question. The rules state:

"As a general guide for posting topics, non-Christians who are challenging Christianity should offer arguments as to why Christian beliefs are incorrect or untrue."

Rather than start with a specific argument as to why Christian beliefs are incorrect can I post a question to get the Christian belief on a topic first and then proceed to offer my arguments as to why I find them incorrect?

:)

Let me consider your suggestion (and discuss with staff) and I'll get back to you.

This is a good extra step. It will help keep the discussions civilized. :)

We are going to leave the SoP as it is right now and make adjustments in the future if needed.

I agree with the terms and have read both sticky threads.

By the way, Sojourner1, is your "Calvary Chapel" faith referring to the churches in Southern California? I went to the one in the Temecula wineries for years. With pastors Clark van Wick and Ken Veasey (not sure of their spelling).

Yes, the churches that were started by Pastor Chuck Smith in Costa Mesa. I have attended several Calvary Chapel churches throughout California. I have never been to the one in Temecula.

Read and agreed!

Given the nature of some Internet debate I wanted to thank you for taking the risk of floating my forum idea. I really like the idea of a place for different world views to connect. I also think it provides a useful way to keep the Christian only threads homogeneous, as moderators can now helpful direct non-believers posting in those forums to this one, allowing the Christian only sections to focus on in house discussion and edification. Hopefully this forum will be a great place for discussion and connection between believers and current non-believers :)
See you all in the threads!
