By a bare majority, Americans think President Trump is a racist and want him to stop tweeting, according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll.

My advice to President Trump would be this, your primary focus should be on what the police did to George Floyd. I am not saying you must not deal with persons looting stores etc, because you cannot and should not ignore it, because it is wrong, but keep in mind at all times that the entire situation first started because of what the police did to George Floyd in the first place.

Therefore, what the police did should be the primary thing you need to deal with to prevent these types of situation from happening in the future. The police is an arm of the state and represents the state, and when the police feels emboldened enough to murder someone in full view, this indicates that there is a very serious situation within the police force, especially, against black persons in the U.S. So focus on both what the police did to George Floyd and also on the riots that is going on, remembering that the primary start of all of this is what happened to George Floyd, and that is where the majority of your angry should be directed, at the racist police and others within the police force who continued to murder and abuse their power.

I am well aware that the persons who loot are opportunists, they are using the George Floyd situation as an excuse to steal items that they want, not because they care about George Floyd, and that they have hurt many people, and should be arrested. However, ensure, to keep in mind, that the main issue at hand, the main start of all this which is what the police did to George Floyd.

So focus on what you can do as President to prevent this type of situation from happening in the future, deal with the problems within the police force because there are major problems within, not just dealing with persons who are looting alone. Both the police and the looters are wrong, both need to be dealt with, keeping in mind that the primary focus should be on dealing with the racial injustices within the police force because this is a serious problem.

What we've learned from polls like this one is that somewhere near half the population will agree with whatever unkind thing is said about Trump.

It's very close to the number who, in other posts, say they are intending to vote Democratic in the fall or who, when asked whether they agree or disagree with the general direction of the country, answer "disagree."

The poll could ask if the respondent agrees with or disagrees with the statement that Trump is a murderer or with the statement that he is a father...and the results will be approximately the same as showed up in this poll about him being a racist.
