I have been working on a site that collects Christian News. I worked on it manly for myself. I like google news but not all of the Liberal Stuff.

Any Suggestions that anyone has with simple changes?

I like the design of ChristianHeadlines.com because the pictures are very catchy. The one problem I noticed with their site is that they do not update certain news sources. For example: When a hurricane is about to hit, it is like it is still about to hit (when the hurricane is already done and gone).

My suggestion is to add lots of cool pictures that are catchy to the eye with nice font graphics. I would also create a logo with the name of the site along with a subheading saying: "Christian News" or "Your Source for Christian News."

It took me a while to get the site mobile friendly.

I have four more suggestions if you are open to it.

Suggestion #1. A sub heading title for your site name.

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Matthew 7:7).

Suggestion #2. A website Logo (with copyright).

Suggestion #3. How to be more like Jesus today (type verse or passage) or a Life Application Bible Verse of the Day at the top part of the website (for all to see quickly).

Suggestion #4. Put advertisements on your car or find a cheap or inexpensive ways to advertise once you get the cool graphics on your site (Note: Try to out do or be as good as Christian Headlines graphically speaking; If you need to pay a website designer to help you, then do so). Utilize search engine optimization techniques to make Google search your site better so it will rank it better down the road.

This is one reason that I started the site. Honestly I will be making ads myself, I dont like the options out there. If there is a junk less ad firm out there let me know. I have been going through the Google optimization, only found a couple small errors - nothing big. so far I am getting 300 hits a day, if I advertise i could easily get 1000 hits a day. But I am months away from advertising.I also added a change log to the site to keep myself motivated.
