New trilogy from a new author

I found a fun new series for you epic fantasy fans out there. The Kingkiller Chronichles by Patrick Rothfuss. It starts with The Name of the Wind. It is the life story of a hero as he tells it to a biographer. His style is easy to read and very engaging and the plot, while a touch formulaic (it is his first novel), is pretty engaging. It's 650 odd pages and I blew through it in 2 days. Definite thumbs up.

It is definitely an amazing book and I cannot wait for the second one to come out.

I forget how or why I thought to pick this up... but I acquired it not too long after its hardcover release. Which is weird for me considering I rarely buy books these days, let alone in hardcover. Still, not complaining. His writing style is excellent.
