If you want to stop the fear and paranoia.

The Russians and other Europeans need to be in the same room,
working together in the European Parliament.

They will both see the other side is just normal human beings.
You are assuming that both parties want to talk to each other. Europeans might, Putin does not. Putin wants to dictate.

You have a nice little fantisy there that ignores the personalities and goals of those you want to put together. Mainly, that they don't want to be put together.

agreed.

working together in the European Parliament.
The UN assembly ís a far better place to do so, for in the EU parliament, the Russians have the ability to obstruct the working of the parliament.

We know from the Bible: normal human beings are sinners (like every human).

What this means in practice, look at the UN general assembly … Russia had the chance to talk to the US - Lavrov didn't.

In European Parliament each country has many more representatives.
That does not help with a country with a fascist (or fasciZt) government. More representatives who do what they are told to do by their government will not make a difference to a few of them.

More people talking means more chances to make a compromise
and come to some type of agreement.
But to defile a democratic parliament with representatrives of an autocratic ruler is no good idea. Fullstop.

We have enough problems with Hungary, Poland, and maybe next with Italia. We don't need more of that, and certainly no members worse than that.

You are in the USA, so don't fiddle with our European system. Rather try that America solves problem in your way, e.g. by inviting Cuba, or Venzuela, to send representatives into the American Congress in Washington. So they can talk to the congressmen, and both sides will see they are all human …

Giving Russia seats in the European Parliament
would make the Russian government better over time.

At some point the Russians would start to copy the European system.

If you think so, first let Cuba and Venezuela join the US Congress. We'll then see whether you are right.
Most countries on Earth would say a peace deal with Russia
is the most important thing right now.

No, most countries would say that Russia stopping its aggression and stopping the atrocities in the Ukraine is the most important thing.

Sure, so long as that deal has total Russian withdrawal from Ukraine, including Crimea, and reparations for the damage done as non-negotiable.

Hollywood has decided to put more black people
in movies and TV shows.
To improve our relationship with black people.

I support this idea.

That is why we should put more Russian people
in movies and TV shows.
Hopefully they will be shown in a positive way.

This will help improve our relationship with Russian people.

Is that the one that meets in Den Haag?

'Cause Putin should definitely get an invitation to that one then.

The International Court

Could Russia have a law suit against NATO?

The International Court could tell
NATO to stay away from Russia’s border.

What element of international law prohibits nation states from entering freely into associations with other states unless any neighbor state accepts.

(And "Love" I was thinking more of Putin's various war crimes in Ukraine.)

NATO never violated the Russian border.

Russia has violated the borders of Georgia, and of Ukraine. And fiddled into the internal affairs of Moldova.

Now they hold a referendum, which may be compared to the referendum in Austria 1938.

Plenty of reasons to let the court in The Hague judge on what Putin did. If he is innocent, he will be acquitted (maybe on some points, depending on the indictment, but I strongly doubt that he will be acquitted on all points).

Why should they? Germany did not demand to get back the Koenigsberg (now Kaliningrad) area, Finland does not want to get back the Karelian territory robbed by Stalin (this is not the area of the Karelian Republic within Russia). No threat to Russian borders at all.

It is Russia that wants to shift borders without agreement of the nations who should give up territory. Russia should stay away from the Ukrainian border, and territory (e.g. Krim).

EDIT: The only country that wants territory back from Russia is Japan. Outside of NATO. Or maybe China, too?
