Congratulations! What kind did you get? For what purpose did you buy it?

Do you have any friends that are responsible gun owners? My brother is a police detective and a certified firearms instructor. When someone asks me for training, I refer them to him and we will go down to our family cabin for some low-key and low-pressure familiarization and training.

Welcome to the forum and to gun ownership!
Definitely take classes from a trained instructor and make sure to practice.
With gun ownership comes responsibility!
What is a "Lifer"?

Congratulations! My husband and I are both firearms instructors and thoroughly enjoy introducing people to shooting and learning how to become responsible, competent firearm owners. I'd suggest looking into any reputable women-only classes in your area, sometimes removing the pressure of learning around men (especially those you know), can help immensely. Enjoy your new gun!
