Philosophy & Morality

A new forum for the discussion and debate of general philosophy, epistemology and morality open to all members.

This was requested by several members and endorsed by staff.

Placid gave a good description of what should be included in this forum:

  1. The nature of truth (objective or relative?)
  2. Epistemology (The branch of philosophy dealing with knowledge and how we acquire it)
  3. Morality (Divine Command Theory, objective vs. relative, etc.)
  4. Aesthetics (i.e., What is beauty?)
  5. The role in reason and logic in theology
  6. Arguments for the existence of God (discussion need not be focused only on apologetics)
  7. The concept of a "worldview"
  8. Critical evaluation of historical and current ideas in philosophy (Plato, Aquinas, Hume, Kant, Van Til, Plantinga, etc.)

It is a new forum, and will serve to "lighten up" the load in the General Apologetics forum.

Basically, any topic that pertains to philosophy should be posted here. :)

Enjoy!
