The most important thing you can do is have a relationship with Lord!

this is done before you try to fix yourself. because only God can fix you.

Once you develop a relationship with the Lord by talking with the Lord and asking questions waiting for the Lord to respond.. God will answer you whether it be by a friend - pastor whomever God choses to use.

Allow God to lead you... Learn to really trust the Lord with everything you have and everything you want.

True peace only comes from the Lord.. so no matter the situation faced with see what you can learn from it and learn to trust the Lord that no matter how it looks God can and Will Fix it.

All The Glory Belongs To God Forever!

This is great advise. Peace that the Lord has best interest at heart, that He will give what is needed when it's needed. The lifestyle of living for Him can't be replaced by anything else nor can anything bring as much love into your life than allowing Him to be the one to move you!

...and the first ingredient for having a relationship with the Lord is getting to know Him. With every generation, God is minimized and placed into a smaller box of what we project Him to be, rather than what He really is. We may not be able to understand all of it, but God DID reveal many aspects of Himself that we've ignored or conveniently forgotten.

A good refresher course/wakeup call is A. W. Tozer's "The Knowledge of the Holy" or J. I. Packer's "Knowing God", in which Packer writes a good summary:

Knowing God involves, first, listening to God's word and receiving it as the Holy Spirit interprets it, in application to oneself; second, noting God's nature and character, as His word and works reveal it; third, accepting His invitations, and doing what He commands; fourth, recognizing, and rejoicing in, the love that He has shown in thus approaching one and drawing one into this divine fellowship.

learn god by reading the bible s you wont base your theology on movies or other religions our god is ajealous god

By experience you are taught what the words of the bible mean.. So yes you need to read the bible but, first you must develop a relationship with the Lord so that He can give you an experience and when you read you can understand His Word not mans interpretation... see the difference.

When the bible speaks of going into spirit.. I can understand because I have been in Spirit before but, many who haven't want to believe the person was dead - lol that's why we need an experience to understand what is being said.

2. Before the bible God spoke to his prophets.. And God still speaks today. So we must learn to listen to what the Lord is saying... can all hear or is it that all don't want to hear.. however God is still speaking.
