Our field is requesting prayer for Amira*, a sister from a Muslim background from Kyrgyzstan. Amira is from a small village in the northern part of the country. Two years ago, she went to the city to work where she met some Christians who told her about Jesus. She trusted Christ with her life and began to attend a church and serve there.

When her parents learned that Amira had become a Christian, they were angry.

“You are a shame and a disgrace to the family,” they told her.

Some time ago, they asked her to come back home to “visit the family,” but when Amira came they beat her, tried to force her to reconvert to Islam and put her under house arrest. They also planned to force her to marry a Muslim man.

Amira was able to escape and went back to her church in the city. For her safety, the leaders of her church sent her to another big city. Amira loves her parents and relatives, but she can’t return to her home, for fear of being beaten being forced to marry.

Please, pray for Amira, pray for her safety, and pray that God will protect her from being forced into marriage. Pray also for Amira’s relatives and parents, that God will soften their hearts and that they, too, might come to believe in Christ.

Fortunately she was able to get away, where so many might not be able to. And that's not to minimize the situation, it's terrible she can't be happy with her loved ones. Jesus would never expect us to resort to something like she went through in order to get someone saved, not even close.

I pray she always has a way out and wherever she is, she prospers so she, and she only, has control of her life, and who she may want to give it to..

This is sadly the norm to those who give their lives over to Jesus after leaving the deception that is Islam. May God protect her every step. That she will not only endure, but be glad when persecution comes her way. May God's presence overwhelm her family to where they no longer question the Truth and turn to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives; that they may truly be set free from the bondage of sin and leave their worship of a false god. In Jesus Perfect, Holy and blessed name. Amen.

God bless Amira, she will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.:prayer:
