However, naming a town after Trump, or any man for that matter not wise ... in this case political pandering seems like to me

Maybe political posturing would be a better description, pandering posturing I consider them the same

Will be interesting to see if Trump Heights actually happens. Right now all it is .... is a sign in the ground (no plans, no funding etc.)

There are articles out there that say, basically the change was wording from "occupied" to "controlled" ... have no idea if that is correct reporting or not.

Does seem like it takes an already contentious area and make it even more contentious.

The Oklahoma Sooners come to mind.

And I seriously doubt what’s left of the Syrian government really cares the land they lost invading Israel is now Trumpville.
