My Aunt died, and I am all tore up about it. I didn't have such a good childhood, except for the love and support of a few people like my Aunt Irece. I was always welcome in her home, and she always treated me like I was her daughter. I spent many many days of my childhood with my Aunt Irece and her daughters, my cousins. She was a wonderful Christian woman, and many times she would take me to church with her and my Uncle Buddy and my cousins. Uncle Buddy died August a year ago, so now they are both gone.

I talked to her on the phone Dec. 8th, which was the first time I had talked to her in about a year. So I feel really bad that I didn't call her on Christmas. But I am SO glad I called her, and got to tell her how much I loved her and missed her.(we live a long way from her house, about 400 miles.) I also thanked her for "being there" for me when I was a child. I thanked her for all the times she took me to church.

I just needed to write this, I thought it might make me feel better. I know she is in Heaven with Jesus, and she is with Uncle Buddy again.

ADVICE: If there is someone you love, that you haven't talked to in a while, please give them a call and tell them you love them. You never know when a loved one will pass on. I'm glad I called my Aunt Irece, but I wish I had made the effort to call her more often. I traveled to Florida over the holidays to visit relatives, but I didn't get to visit my Aunt Irece because I didn't have time. Now the time is gone.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your aunt.  But you can rejoice knowing that she is finally at home and you will see her again some day.  It is so hard to lose someone you love so much.  Its even harder when you know that they didn't make preparation to meet the Lord.  I will pray for you that God will strengthen and comfort you and give you peace and joy for the rest of the journey.

    God Bless.

I am sorry for you loss. I lost someone very dear to me in august. My grandmother passes away, we were very very close. I could tell her anything and I could call her anytime at night if I needed someone to talk to or pray with me. It hurts more than any words can express even though I know she is in Heaven, I still miss her. If it were not for the peace of God and his comfort I could not have made it. I pray that same peace and comfort be with you in this time. God bless you sister.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss Auntie. I will be keeping you in my prayers. Sounds like you're Aunt knew that you Loved, and missed her. That's what's most important of all. Try and remain thankful that you have so many wonderful memories of her life, and that you were able to be a part of it. Praying for God to give you all the peace and comfort you need at this time.

MizDoulos and Hesmyall and GraftMeIn, thank you so much for your kindness, thoughtfulness, and most of all your prayers.

AlabamaMan, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I had a granny just like yours, and she too passed away in August, but it was in 1996. I think about her all the time, and I still cry sometimes about missing her. As time goes by, your pain will ease a little, especially as your heart begins to really realize she is with God. It takes a while to get over such a loss, or at least to learn how to live and endure without that special loved one being around. Praise God that we will see them again one day!

    Dear Auntie,

A friend recently knowing that I am still grieving the loss of my father, said these words to me. I found them comforting. I hope they comfort you.
My prayers are with you in your grief.

What an awesome blessing to know where our loved ones have gone when they leave us. My Dad died in 1985 and I miss him everyday. It was hard to lose him, but what a joy to know I will see him again and that he is safe in the Arms of Jesus!

I had a brother who was horribly murdered at the tender age of 28, while I was away in the military. He was 10 years older than me. It was sad then but still sad today because he was robbed of so much life. But that sadness is overshadowed by the joy of knowing where he is now and that I will see him again.

In all your grief, which I well understand, take comfort in knowing that your loved one is now in more Bliss than our minds can even conceive, and no matter how we gage time, it will be but a moment and we shall be with them again.
