You guys are probably sick of me and the family health problems. :sorry:

Just got a call that Aunt Martha (My Mother in law's sister) has been having pain in her leg which she thought was from a recent procedure. She had a cat scan and it turns out she has a large mass in her colon. Please pray that this is not as bad as it sounds and all will be ok.

Thank you!

Well the good new is that the mass appears to be on the colon, not on the colon. She gets a colonoscopy tomorrow. The mass will be surgically removed sometime after that and we'll know more then. Thanks for the prayers.

So the colonoscopy was today. It is cancer. But we are hopeful because it has not spread to the lymph nodes. Surgery is the next step. Continued prayers appreciated.

So Aunt Martha's surgery was around 4 hours. We will not know the stage of cancer until next week. Anyway, chemotherapy was mentioned and she refuses that treatment. Her daughter told me it was about wuality

Ok, so today's latest: Aunt Martha was in atrial fib during the night. Cardio adjusted meds and she is better. Said it is a temporary post op thing.

Her pathology report showed cancer with one of nineteen positive nodes, so classified as early stage 3.....said he would refer her for a non-emergency oncology visit, and that an oncologist would maybe treat a younger person with chemo for that, but not an elderly one, but we should go see what he has to say.

She will be at the hospital for at least 2 more days, then rehab for 7-20 days.

Continued prayers appreciated.
