OK, I thought it would be cool if we exchanged a little info. I'd like to be more familiar with those I interact with, so here are three questions:

Which of you are cradle Orthodox vs. converts?
To what Orthodox jurisdiction do you belong?
What is your nationality?

I'll start.

Convert
Antiochian Orthodox
American (Texas)

Convert from Confessional Lutheranism.
I truly despise jurisdictionalism. I am (soon will be) simply Orthodox. My parish is under an Antiochian Bishop.
Citizen of the Heavenly Jerusalem. I am passing through as a temporary citizen of the US. Heinz 57, mostly European, some Cherokee.

Antiochian Orthodox

American (KY): The easy answer is that I'm a US national and all sides of my family have been in North America since before the US was a nation. A lady at church once asked me my ethnicity hoping I'd say Greek or Lebanese or something else like Irish, I'm sure, and I just stared at her for a minute and told her I was American. Anything past that gets complicated and involves breaking out the geneaology research.

Attend an Antiochian church for services (usually) but my SF is Greek
Australian: Cornish (not english!), lots of German, bits of lots of other things. Absolutely no Greek, whatever the people at the Greek parish keep assuming - lol!

Converted from Roman Catholicism. Had this stuff with the Latin Mass came out sooner, I might not even be here. Clearly God had better plans. :)

Attend an Antiochian parish. I agree with a previous poster... in the end, I'm just Orthodox.

Born American, though much of my Italian/Sicilian heritage survives to this day. Except the Roman Catholicism, of course. :)
