For those of us who speak proper English the correct appellation would be:

    National Chip Day :)

McDonald's has the best fry's or chips I think over all of them. I remember when I was in England eating at a fish and chips restaurant in London.

You mean those thin and scrappy, soggy shoelace things posing as chips??

Real chips have depth and breadth and substance. Your problem my son is that you weren't brought up proper when it comes to chip appreciation.

And if you want a real hamburger come to Australia.

The Australian equivalent of those insipid, tasteless excuses for hamburgers pumped out by MacDonalds is 'One-With-The-Lot . 'The Lot' is:
    • Hamburger meat (without the sawdust)
    • A pile of fried onions
    • A fried egg
    • Bacon
    • A slice of cheese
    • Sliced tomato
    • Beetroot
    • Lettuce
    • An optional ring of canned pineapple for the Hawaiian touch
all stacked on a toasted roll with a blast of Barbecue sauce..

I don't blame you for not appreciating good food. It's your deprived American upbringing. :(

My dad told me about this. But I will skip. Unless he's in the mood.

Sorry to hear that John. It must be difficult managing your diet.

At least, I hope it means, you don't have a weight problem.

I did weigh at one time like 15 years ago 225 and now 150 because I drink lots of water.

Well done. I think you're underestimating your own efforts. It would take more than just drinking water to achieve what you've managed to do. :)
