I wish all the Christians who support Israel would move there. They can be treated like second class citizens and even as a threat to the Jewish State, just like the Palestinians.

Omar supports the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel, which has been called antisemitic because it singles out the Jewish state for isolation and ignores the Palestinian side.

Hey maybe we should create a Palestinian state just to test whether people are really hypocritical or not.

Nancy Pelosi Appoints Anti-Israel Radical Ilhan Omar to House Foreign Affairs Committee | Breitbart

You do understand that it is possible to criticize Israel's policies and NOT be anti-semitic, right?

I personally am not that fond of the BDS movement per se, I think Israel has been wronged as well by many of her neighbors. But let's not go with Breitbart for our news, shall we?

It's one thing to criticize Israel when Israel deserves to be criticized, but much of the criticism lobbed against Israel IS anti-Semitic because it singles Israel out for special condemnation for things other nations are not criticized for.

As for news, I will use any source I darn well please. I will not be checking to see if it on your list of approved sites.

In 2005, Israel left Gaza. Not a single Jew left there and the Palestinians were free to govern themselves. They turned Gaza into a hell hole.

When the Gazans had a chance to choose who their leaders would be, they chose Hamas, which is the most ruthless, bloodthirsty terrorist group in the area. That is who they chose to be their representative government (and they had far less militant, more progressive choices). They chose a terrorist organization to be their government.

So, yeah we can see just what a Palestinian state would look like.

Well, that is just silly. There are over 2 million Palestinian citizens and they have full rights and privileges of citizenship. They have more freedom than Arabs living Arab countries. Palestinians enjoy freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and even those that are not citizens enjoy free, universal health care. Israel has done far more for the Palestinians than Jordan or Egypt did when they controlled the West Bank and Gaza respectively.

Under Egypt and Jordan administrative control, Palestinians were dying of preventable diseases. It only in 1967 when Israel beat back Jordan and Egypt that Palestinians began to live longer, healthier lives. They started getting needed medical attention and Israel built modern sewers and sewage treatment centers in Palestinian towns that had nothing but a ditch in the middle of the street as a "sewer." Their life expectancies increased by 20-30 decades. They have full access to the Israeli judiciary and have won over 40% of cases against Jewish litigants

Israel even built hospitals and schools for the Palestinian, as well as pre-fab housing that they were not allowed by the PLO to move into.

In 2005, Israel left Gaza.

Not before they built a fence around it and have, from time to time, blockaded humanitarian aid for getting in and neglected to improve the shameful water quality situation (which Israel still controls).

They turned Gaza into a hell hole.

They had plenty of Israeli 'help'.

When the Gazans had a chance to choose who their leaders would be, they chose Hamas, which is the most ruthless, bloodthirsty terrorist group in the area.

Just give them a state and some time. After all, that's all it takes to go from Irgun blowing up hotels to producing Prime Ministers and a Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Speaking as a descendant of Native Americans and as a Native American political activist, I stand in solidarity with the Palestinians. Our two People share a similiar struggle for freedom.

The humanitarian aid comes from Israel; it is Hamas that blocks it.

No, they didn't'. Israel left behind greenhouses that were sophisticated enough to produce tons of fruits and vegetables and even flowers that the Palestinians could have exported and began growing wealth. The Palestinian burned them down. They even burned down the houses the Jews left behind. Within 24 hours of the Jews leaving Gaza, Israel experienced a 500% increase in mortar and rocket fire.

Just give them a state and some time. After all, that's all it takes to go from Irgun blowing up hotels to producing Prime Ministers and a Nobel Peace Prize winner.
Those things occurred in a state of war.

The Palestinians use their children and elderly as human shields to ramp up casualty rates on purpose. Anyone like that doesn't deserve a state.

No, you don't share a similar struggle for freedom. Israel isn't stopping the Palestinians from having any freedom.

There have been three attempts to grant a Palestinian state (1936, 1947, 2000). Israel agreed to a Palestinian state in all three instances. It was the Arab community that prevented a Palestinian state from existing.

Israel didn't make the Palestinians into refugees, the Arabs did leading up to Israel's war of independence in 1948.

The Palestinian goal is not "freedom." Their goal is the annihilation of Israel and it says so in their charter. Israel gave the Palestinians full freedom in Gaza and was repaid with more terrorism.

Anyone who understands what has actually occurred on the ground can tell that your attempt to paint both Native Americans and the Palestinians in the same light is fallacious on its face.

That blockade attempted to use "humanitarian aid' as a cover for delivering more equipment and supplies for the purpose of Hamas rebuilding their terrorist infrastructure. Those were not humanitarian shipments that Israel blocked.

But Israel has been blocked from delivering food and medicine to the Palestinians by Hamas on several occasions.

I have personally spoken with and have listened to several Palentinians from Gaza while they were in this country to stand with Standing Rock. So, I have an understanding of what has actually occured on the ground. My opinion on this issue will not change. We will just have to agree to disagree.
