would that book be ok for a Christian teen?
need one more gift
Yes, i haven't delved into it all yet, but from what i've read, it's meditations on God and how to please Him each day. Lots of Proverbs in it and the author's reflections of those Proverbs, etc. It would be timely for teens too, who also deal with what the author speaks of regarding family and friends, etc.
This is an excerpt from p. 26:
My behavior hurts.
Lord, I hurt the feelings
of a loved one today.
I spoke unkindly.
I accused.
I ranted.
I was
selfish.
It's not the first time.
Why am I abusive?
Why do I hurt the ones I love?
The author then goes on to write about these verses:
Romans 12:10, I Corinthians 13:4, Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 3:12, Romans 8:22, ans 2 Peter 1:5-7
I can relate to it, and God has given me the unction and the grace to apologize many times to my children, and other family members, etc.
