I like who I was named after - Kathryn Grayson.
Mom was a movie buff and passed it on to me.
And I happen to be dating a movie buff too.

I've had to think about this - I've only met about 3-4 other Edie's and most of them were markedly older than me (the first Edie I met was in her 80's when I was an early teen - she used to babysit my dad, that's why he liked the name). It's only been the past 5 years that I've met an Edie younger than me.
It just seemed so old-fashioned and if you had asked me when I was a kid I'd have absolutely changed it, but now I like it and wouldn't trade.

I like my name ... even though I hear "Bond ... Julia Bond" from about one in three people I'm introduced to!

I was named after my two grandfathers on my Dad's side. Although I never had the chance to meet them, I am still pretty proud of them
