So when is the LAST trumpet to be blown? Its a MYSTERY!

1COR.15 [50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.[51] Behold, I SHEW YOU A MYSTERY; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMP: FOR THE TRUMPET SHALL SOUND, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

MYSTERY—last trumpet {it shall sound} – The LAST one! – No more trumpets to be blown – Its the LAST trumpet!

REVELATION 8 [1] And when he had opened THE SEVENTH SEAL, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. [2] And I saw the SEVEN ANGELS which stood before God; and to them were given SEVEN TRUMPETS.

Seventh angel has a trumpet. It shall sound. Its also the LAST one to be heard. Its also AFTER the trib period

REVELATION 10 [6] And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: [7] But in the days of the voice of THE SEVENTH ANGEL, when he shall begin to sound, THE MYSTERY OF GOD SHOULD BE FINISHED, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

MYSTERY SOLVED! The seventh angel begins to sound. This is the LAST trumpet you find being blown in the bible

REVELATION 16 [17] And the SEVENTH ANGEL poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, IT IS DONE.

REVELATION 11 [14] The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. [15]And THE SEVENTH ANGEL SOUNDED; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD ARE BECOME THE KINGDOMS OF OUR LORD, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

As i said before, we do not flit off to heaven at the 1Cor.15 event. As the seventh angel sounds the trumpet the kingdoms of this world are to become the kingdoms of the Lord and thats where the Lord will bring us after meeting Him in the air. His kingdom

The last trumpet mentioned in Revelation isn't necessarily the last trumpet Paul is referencing.

For starters, neither Paul nor his readers had any concept of the 7 Revelation trumpets. As the scripture stated, he was revealing a mystery, not making a new one.

Second, the word 'last' isn't always absolute. If I tell my wife that I just ate the last cookie, the context she would understand that is there are no more cookies in our home, not that the world is now out of cookies. If I go buy another bag of cookies, there's a good chance I'll soon be eating another 'last' cookie again. It's all about the context of the word, and the context Paul gives it is not the Revelation trumpets.

It actually astounds me that people can not read the bible and see the facts that lie therein. Revelation ch. 19 says the Church is in Heaven, marries the Lamb, then returns with him to fight the Anti-Christ, what part of that confuses you sir?

Paul wrote about the Last Trump before John wrote the book of Revelation so why would you think Paul would speak on this without giving it detail if he was referring to the Revelation Trumpets? Answer he wouldn't have. Paul speaks throughout his writing about the Feasts of God. The Last Trump Paul is speaking of is the Last Feast of Trumps.

God gave us a pattern in Leviticus chapter 23, it covers Seven Feasts and in them we find the whole history of Israel as per their redemption.

Jesus fulfilled the three Spring Feasts.

    1. Feast of Passover ( Jesus fulfilled this and his blood covers us all )

    2. Feast of Unleavened Bread ( Jesus was without sin )

    3. Feast of First-fruits ( Jesus was the first-fruits of the Dead )

The Feast of Pentecost (Harvest) is the only Feast on the Calendar all alone unto itself. (Summer)

    4. Feast of Pentecost ( Church Age or the Harvest of Souls ) Jesus is the Sower, we are the body of Christ and we are currently Sowing the seed so Jesus can eventually reap the Harvest. The Pentecost or Harvest was always a Summer event of course, then the Feast of Trumps would announce that the Harvest was over and that the Feast of Atonement was Nigh. (LAST TRUMP)

    Three Fall Feasts

    5. Feast of Trumpets ( This feast basically did nothing except announce that Pentecost was over and that the Fall Feasts were at hand. RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH......The Atonement for Israel is near)

    6. Feast of Atonement ( Israel is back on the clock, the Church is Raptured at the Last Trump, Israel is now called on by God to Repent just like the 70 Week Decree prophecy says will happen. Israel does Repent just as Malachi 4:5-6 says so, as does Zechariah 12:10 and Zechariah 13:1, so Israel ATONES FOR THEIR SINS, then flees unto the Wilderness where God protects them for 1260 Days. )

Feast of Tabernacle ( Tabernacle definition = To Dwell with God. So Israel repents, then Jesus returns to Mt. Zion, saves Israel who are sheltered by God in the Wilderness, and Jesus reigns for 1000 years in Jerusalem, so Israel dwells with God/Jesus. )

So Jesus died for our sins, he was rejected as being the Messiah by Israel even though he was without sin, Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, he gave his Church the Holy Spirit at Pentecost !! They sowed the seed that brought forth the harvest of souls, Jesus then calls the Church home at the LAST TRUMP and Israels 70th Week is then at hand. And just as Prophecy states Israel will repent before the 70th Week ends !! Lastly Jesus returns with the Church in hand (See Rev. chapter 19), defeats the Anti-Christ and his minions, and then Israel TABERNACLES (Dwells with God) with Jesus for 1000 years on earth.

It is true, we do not fly off to heaven in our bodies. Those bodies are called corrupt by Paul in the verses you cited in 1 Cor. 15, thus those bodies must die in the twinkling of an eye. The Dead in Christ are raised uncorruptible (Without a Flesh body/THE SPIRIT MAN is raised) and thus we must rid ourselves of our flesh bodies, that is exactly what that passage says, and it IMPLIES we are going to Heaven, not to meet Jesus in the air and come back to earth, else why would we need to get rid of our corrupt flesh? We have to shed the corrupt flesh, OF COURSE, because we are going to Heaven. Jesus told Mary, touch me not, for I have not yet ascended unthe Father. Thus Jesus is saying no Flesh can enter Heaven save my perfect flesh, and no human can even touch me lest my flesh offering unto God be defiled.

In 1 Cor. 15 we are going to Heaven to marry the Lamb. Our HUMAN FLESH BODIES must be shed. We thus DIE and our Spirit man goes unto Heaven to marry the Lamb.

The concepts of Paul doesnt really matter

    2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Actually it does. Scripture says he was revealing a mystery. Your scenario doesn't to that. Rather it causes confusion for a number of decades. Your's is the least likely scenario.

You Rapturist sure do have troubles with adding. The Last Trumpet is the last trumpet

The above scripture points out that “we shall all be changed” as the LAST TRUMPET is blown.

MATTHEW 24 [29]IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: [30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [31] And he shall send his angels with A GREAT SOUND OF A TRUMPET, and THEY SHALL GATHER TOGETHER HIS ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Here we find a trumpet being blown after the tribulation period. No matter how ya figure it, you cannot have the LAST TRUMPET being blown before the tribulation or at mid tribulation if a trumpet is being blown AFTER the tribulation. Yes, the trumpet blown in Matt.24 is the last trumpet of 1Cor.15

ISAIAH 27 [12] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be GATHERED ONE BY ONE, O ye children of Israel.[13] And it shall come to pass in that day, that THE GREAT TRUMPET SHALL BE BLOWN, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, AND SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD IN THE HOLY MOUNT AT JERUSALEM.

The GREAT trumpet {also found in Matt.24} shall be blown. His people gathered. Its off to Jerusalem. To the kingdom. Not headin for heaven

Immediately after the Tribulation Jesus returns and the Church returns with him, try actually reading Rev. ch. 19. You guys are clearly not good detectives. Satan can just put anything out there and it gets repeated over and over.

Thanks for the belittling, and no.

And 'last' is a word with a scope defined by its context. That's why the feast trumpets are the most likely interpretation. There are 'last' trumpets involved with them every year, and it was familiar to both the audience and Paul.

Paul referencing a trumpet that no one would know about for a few decades, makes no sense whatsoever. Again, remember (what you ignored the first time) the passage states Paul is REVEALING a mystery. Your interpretation does the exact opposite, and therefore opposes the text.

And don't give me that 'all scriptures are inspired' lazy excuse. Understanding the trumpet in focus in the text as not being a Revelation trumpet doesn't rise to the level of denying scripture, rather just a misguided interpretation of scripture.

Last implies the last in a series or group. You just have the wrong group picked out.

REVELATION 19 [13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which were in HEAVEN followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

The greek word for heaven that is found in Rev.19 is found below

    Greek Word: οὐρανός

    Transliteration: ouranos

    Phonetic Pronunciation:eek:o-ran-os'

Root: perhaps from the same as <G3735> (through the idea of elevation), the sky

    Cross Reference: TDNT - 5:497,736

    Part of Speech: n m

Vine's Words: Air, Heaven, HeavenlyStrong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.

ACTS 10 [12] Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the AIR.

LUKE 9 [57] And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. [58] And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the AIR have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

MATTHEW 6 [26] Behold the fowls of the AIR: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

It is also the same greek word used to describe the air {where the birds fly} in the 3 scriptures above

1 THESSALONIANS 4 [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the AIR: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

We do meet the Lord in the air. Do we then become the armys of God {rev.19}.

JOHN 3 [12] If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? [13] And NO MAN HATH ASCENDED UP TO HEAVEN, BUT HE THAT CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Can any of you Rapturist tell me if scripture above will suddenly vanish from your bibles after you are raptured to heaven

JOHN 7 [33] Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I GO UNTO HIM THAT SENT ME.[34] Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and WHERE I AM, THITHER YE CANNOT COME.

I go to Him that sent me. To the Father. Heaven. Jesus said we cant go there

Huh. Never thought of it that way... but interesting. Basically every Christian in the world not suddenly disappearing, but appearing to be snuffed out from the outside perspective...

You sure do have trouble adding. Speakin bout adding

MATT.12 [39] But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:[40] For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; SO SHALL THE SON OF MAN BE THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS IN THE HEART OF THE EARTH.

The above scripture says as Jonas was 3 days and 3 nights in the whales belly, and so shall Jesus be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth. Does good Friday afternoon till (easter) Sunday morning equal 3 days and 3 nights? What do you Rapturist believe

How many gatherings does it take to make a rapture fit? How many resurrections to go along with those gatherings?

There are probably a hundred threads around here talking about such things. My point is you are imposing a definition on the word 'last' that doesn't harmonize with the text where a mystery is revealed. Just try to think about it honestly from that point of view for a while.

Is there a resurrection when God GATHERS His elect?

Hmmm, to seeing the word resurrection anywhere in that passage. I'll have to go with no. Even the word there for gathering means to assemble together, meanwhile Paul tells us the rapture is a forceful snatching.
