anyone laugh at the way myspace describes music? now i know it is the person who makes the site on myspace that does the classification of the music. but i like some of the classifications some bands have.

i just found this band called, Trepalium. never heard of them, figured why not, try it out. they are ok i suppose. one song i like the rest meh.

the classification of the style of music they play?

Groove/Death Metal/Rock

yeeea that really helps out ya know?

i'm waiting for something like this:
Ballroom/Black Metal(that'd be sinisterly sexy in a way but still a weird classification)
Ambient/Country
Psychedelic/Rap

maybe. i mean i could see how the video could possibly be. use some symphonic sounds as many black metal bands do but have the ballroom influences with black metal guitars layered in, with blast beat drumming going and then add both the typical black metal scream along with parts of singing symphonically, that would be kind of cool i think. `Bram Stoker's Dracula meets heavy metal

Well, going strictly by the actual genre of Techno, it kind of would be closing in on being oldies (it was at its peak in the mid 80s).

I was always under the impression that the bands themselves picked the genres they would be listed under.


I want to see Country/Death Metal - and I mean in the sense of Classic Country, not the Contemporary stuff. Or Bluegrass/Industrial (or Bluegrass/Goth Rock).

Heh, when I visited JPUSA, the guy pretty much broke down Cornerstone Fest like this: If you want to hear Celtic Christian Death Rap, it's for you. I have yet to find such a group. If I ever do, I will definitely have a listen.

I like to put everything into the broad category of Pop, like perhaps might be found in the Encyclopedia Brittanica. So, in other words Ozzy Osbourne and Jimi Hendrix would both be classified as a "pop singer."

i'm with you on that one. i can respect hip hop that is about social things. i don't like the style and i won't listen to it, but i can respect it. the other rap or the about 95 percent of it? crop is the kind of word to call it

i have a thing with people calling nu-metal metal. don't even get me started on that one LOL. nu-metal is hard rock, plain and simple, ha. i better stop there. i'll keep ranting.
