Honest thought-provoking legitimate questions you would like to see answered honestly.

Mine are:

1. If God created an apple ex nihilo, what evidence would you give your friend He did this?
2. Can God create a dress tomorrow so old it falls apart with age?
3. If God created a loaf of raisin bread ex materia, would it constitute deception, since raisins are dried grapes?

Can God make a square triangle?

1. If God created an apple ex nihilo, what evidence would you give your friend He did this?

Am I to assume that "friend" doesn't believe in God? If yes, I wouldn't give him evidence unless he asked and if he did ask before I gave him evidence I would ask him for evidence that the universe came to be from nothing?

2. Can God create a dress tomorrow so old it falls apart with age?

When God created there was an appearance of age. For example, God made "trees bearing fruit," which would generally take at least a few years. Yet Adam already had food to eat which means the tree looked older than it really was. So yes, should God desire to mess with a dress, He could do that.

3. If God created a loaf of raisin bread ex materia, would it constitute deception, since raisins are dried grapes?

Well, thankfully, there is no account of God making bread so I can duck the question. :)

This is (at best) theological questions and are therefore posted in the wrong forum. They are all also stupid and not thoughtprovoking at all.

1. If God created an apple ex nihilo, what evidence would you give your friend He did this?
1. What evidence is there?
2. Can God create a dress tomorrow so old it falls apart with age?
2. God could make a dress tomorrow (or a year from now) that shows up 200 years ago, and then ages naturally until today.
3. If God created a loaf of raisin bread ex materia, would it constitute deception, since raisins are dried grapes?
3. Dried grapes are deceptive, but ground wheat and expired yeast isnt. Obviously.

So, we're just assuming that "god" exists, matches your definition and is capable of everything you think this "god" should be able to do which is "anything"... Doesn't seem like a good starting point and is therefore... pointless. But, carry on.

Does it make your head ache?
Av is something of a Last Thursdayist, which we already knew, and since Last Thursdayism is unfalsifiable, there really isn't much point in discussing it.

1. If God created an apple ex nihilo, what evidence would you give your friend He did this?
Simple, I'd have an anonymous person write it all down, then wait several thousand years to show him what god said, and just ask him to trust me.
2. Can God create a dress tomorrow so old it falls apart with age?
Of course he could. But, since god is perfect, this would go against his nature. Sounds like something the devil would do.
3. If God created a loaf of raisin bread ex materia, would it constitute deception, since raisins are dried grapes?
If David Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty disappear, would it constitute a deception, since the SoL is still there?

Creating a universe with photons carefully positioned to make it look billions of years old, when in fact it was only a few thousand years old, would be deception.

Give up flogging that dead horse, do.

1. The increased mass of the universe. Not a very tough question, this answer has been given before.

2. Before I answer this, please tell me the difference between a dress that is actually so old it falls apart with age and a dress that has the APPEARANCE of age, even to the degree that it falls apart as an old dress would be expected to.

3. It is indicating that a process occured (the drying of the grapes) that did not actually occur. Maybe not a lie to the degree of what we are getting from Kavanaugh, but it's still a deliberate action which results in things appearing in a way they aren't actually.

How could he do this? Are you suggesting that God can do things that are logically impossible? I mean, that would seem to make sense - if God created the laws of logic, why would he make it so they limited HIM as well as the universe? God, after all, exists outside the universe.

It's far simpler than that. Just use the usual creationist trick of redefining a word to mean whatever you want. Square triangle? No problem, it's a square with 3 corners = a triangle. Voila!

Absolutely. God is above and beyond anything including the laws of physics and logic.
