So I read the book. Did any of you do that first? I think the book quite the read. I liked the film but didn't like the charachter choice for the mother role-played by American Cameron Diaz. I thought this was not a role for her. I imagined someone more like Charlize Theron.

I expected sad but not this sad. I also felt the frustrations of the sister and I didn't like the mom's role (at first) then you get it. I like this film alot. it took 2 times to see it. Oh I read most of the book.

Hardly anyone I know has seen this film. For anyone that has known a young person with cancer,it's a hard one to view. Book is great. Do read it.

I've only watched the movie.

I liked the idea of the movie, the idea about a girl that's only there to spend parts of her body. I would have prefered to see the fight of the girl against her mother as the focus of the movie.

But it was a good movie anyway, just not what I expected.

I thought the movie would be more about the legal and moral issues, including the court sessions and so one.

Yea,because if it were based on life cases I can imagine this becoming a major case.
