My Scholarship Offer Came Today

I was ecstatic to get the letter. The out of pocket cost for my seminary tuition has been reduced to $1869. That represents a discount of 78%. That's a big deal for my family because I have not made more than $10.50 per hour since I left the Navy since I have had to follow my active duty wife's assignments and change jobs a couple of times.

We prayed an extended litany of thanksgiving together.

I have a third party scholarship application riding until April. Hopefully that is approved and reduces my expense to nothing more than the cost of books.

Congratulations! I have been looking into scholarship options and while I wont be able to get quite that much coverage, it looks like I should have the capacity to easily cover my expenses based on the savings and income I have available. Surely it's a great relief to be heading into ministry without having to carry the burden of student debt!
